Nice!!! I can't believe so soon you leave, you are going to have such a blast. What are you working on for DIY?

So excited for you Jennie! Congrats on your rooms. That's awesome news- whew, what a relief!

I'm not sure about the summer projects either... it will be fun to see what went on, but honestly, it was so nice already after last summer's projects!

Oh Jennie, I also have a brochure I gave out in the welcome bags. Let me know if you want that one too. It's much more simple- more like an itinerary.

I'm Magalie, I live in Vancouver BC and Travis and I are getting married at PF on May 16 2010.

We've put in our deposit for May 14-18 and we're just working over the details of the contract right now. Can't wait to get the whole thing actually started, it feels like I haven't done anything yet.

Crossing my fingers that we can fill the rooms - doesn't look very good thus far with the economy sad.gif
Hello!! Welcome :) Congratulations!!!

I leave in 11 days for PF. I absolutely cannot wait!!! We were short two rooms and had to help 3 couples pay to stay at PF. An additional expense we were not expecting. If we would have been able to get all of our rooms booked we would have been around our budget but thats ok. I can come to terms with it.

We have nothing left to do. Next sat we are actually having a "are you ready for Mexico Fiesta" so the guests can get to know each other and we can pass out the taxi directions and packing list. It has come up so quick.

We visited PF lat Oct around this time to see what the weather was like so I can't wait to go back. I just hope it doesn't rain.

Wish me luck...11 days and counting.

Kate - so for DIY's I'm doing the programs and menu's myself (with a little help from one of the graphic designers at work) and little first aid kits for the OOTs. That's about it.

Mel - I would love a copy of the brochure you gave out with your welcome bags. Anything to save time at this point.

mnewbauer - 11 days! That's so exciting. That's great that you have everything done! (I'm hoping to finish up everything in the next two weeks but I know that I will be still finishing up the night before. oh well.) I've been checking the weather lately and it looks like it's still T-storms, but according to all of the WCs I talked to when scouting locations, they say the end of October is usually ok. Yay! You really are in the home stretch!

Good Luck!!! I am so jealous after the MN weather lately... ugh. We had to pay for some rooms too, and it was ALL WORTH IT. I think it is cool that you are coming to terms before you get there... but I guess you have seen the place in person already. My anxieties left the moment I looked over that balcony. That was a magical moment. Enjoy!

  • 2 weeks later...

For all you PF brides: What is your budget? How many guests? I LOVE PF from everything I have seen and read here. I'm just concerned about the costs and the costs for our guests. Let me know your thoughts.

We are doing a church ceremony. We are hoping to host a welcome dinner, wedding dinner, and some group activities for 40-60 guests for under $9K. We will likely have to help some guests with rooms too. Do you think it is do-able?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
