November 2010 bride here.. quite a bit of time away! I am also getting marrried at the MP. We just got engaged a couple of weeks ago, and people already are demanding prices. It has been stressful trying to explain how I really don't have an answer for them yet.

I have been researching November 2009 prices just to get a ballpark figure!

Hi there! Just another 2010 bride right here. We're shooting for May 22,2010 and we're still looking at resorts but we picked a location so that's a step in a good direction! We're planning on Punta Cana and we're most interested in Dreams, Palladium, Iberostar or maybe somewhere else... haha. Well, we're most interested in the Palladium right now but I really haven't been able to find more than 2 reviews on the resort but I haven't done that much searching yet. Congrats to everyone and good luck with your planning! If anyone is going to have an outside photographer come in for their wedding and they're interested in "sharing" I'm looking for a photographer to do out TTD session on Sunday, May 23, 2010. Just thought I'd throw that out there incase anyone else had gotten that far yet! Good luck everyone!

Hello ALL! I too am a 2010 bride and I am 80% sure that I am going w/ Riu Palace Riviera Maya. 80% b/c Ive never been to Mexico b4 and the FI and I are going dwn there in 10 days to assess the hotel, food, service, and to have an informational w/ the WC. If everything goes well I'll come back w/ great news for everyone.

In selecting a hotel I looked for AIs, modern/up to date decor, location Riviera Maya(Riviera Maya I hear is beautiful and isnt as touristy as Cancun).

Only 2 hotels really stood out to me--The Palace Resorts, specifically Aventura Spa Palace and The Riu chain. I had to drop The Palace Resort/Aventura b/c they have no beach, just some lagoon, and my family are uber beach goers. They would be thoroughly disappointed to come all the way out to MEXICO and not get to stay at a beautiful beach.

My cousin had her DW this past August at the RiuPalace Punta Cana. 60 of us showed up for her big day and we all had a blast! RPPC was very up to date, top-shelf liquor, wonderful service, and the wedding went off w/o any issues. That is why I am focusing on the RiuPalace, but not in Punta Cana (didnâ€t want to be too much of a copy cat) but in Mexico.

I am aiming at having a Feb 2010 wedding, but I am flexible in that I wont mind having a July/Aug2010 wedding either. I hear that vacas to Mex in July/Aug as opposed to Feb are less expensive!

Congrats and Good Luck planning everyone!

Hey everybody,

We've selected our resort and date. The Valentin Imperial Maya in the Riviera Maya Mexico and our date is Feb 26 2010. We don't have room rates or air fare yet but we were able to put a deposit down for the hote. I have some pic's from early March when I visited, but do not know how to post them yet.

Good luck everyone!

Hi Girls I'm going down for a site visit next month. We are going to be staying at Blue Tulum and may be staying a day at Dreams PA, we will be meeting with DJ Doremixx, Euphoria Evntos y floral, and Cancun Photography who are all our vendors. So If any one has questions for any of these people or things at the resorts they want me to check out, let me know-J

Hello 2010 Brides!

We're doing things a little bit different - no resort, no all inclusive... instead we're renting a beautiful villa in Akumal on the Yul-Ku Lagoon. I'm so glad there are other people planning 2010 weddings already, my friends think I'm crazy for getting stuff done so soon!

Anyways, we've narrowed it down to two villas - families will be staying in both (and potentially a 3rd). Our wedding coordinator is Jenn at the Turtle Bay Cafe - she's awesome so far. Lots of suggestions, good pricing, good at staying within a budget!

We'll see how it all progresses from here out - but sometime at the end of June 2010 (still trying to choose a specific date) ... I'll be a Mrs!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
