Great tips BachataBride!! I'm pretty sure either my cousin or I will be doing my make-up so thanks for the input!

I don't have a Sephora here either The closest one is 4 hours away. The best I can do here is Sears or a salon I guess.

Well, I just did my makeup on my lunch, I must say it looks a gazillion times better! I can't wait to upload the pics when I get home tonight to show you all. Ladies at work have been saying I "look like a model" lol it's probably embellishing a bit but it was sweet of them to say so. They love the eyeshadow colors, so at least she did good with that...I always figured it was an application problem. I'm very happy with how I did with it on my own at lunch haha. My boss must have thought I was crazy...I was doing it at my desk! :P

I say go for another make-up trial, either at the same place with a different person, or a different place if you are scared of running in the same person.

I had to do several, but finally I got somebody who did it good. She explained how she did it (I was most concerned about the eyeshadow) and I think I was able to re-create it really well.

So don't give up, try again!

I went to the used book store and got a cheap copy of one of Kevin Aucion's make up books. They have step by step directions with illustrations on how to do many styles. When I find the one I am going to use. I'm just going to copy the page and bring it with me.

So just thought I'd show you girls the Sephora trial that I was referring to in my OP:

Click the image to open in full size.

It's a crappy pic with my cell camera, you can't even see my tan in it!! Anyway, I tweaked this a bit on my own and it looks a lot better but I don't have a good pic of it yet.

Definitely too much eyeliner in that picture :)
You look so pretty in your profile picture without much makeup - I think you should try to keep your makeup light - you don't need much :)

I agree that you should keep it much lighter than what she did. You look young and fresh in your siggy pic and I think you should let some of that shine through. IMO what she did is way to heavy for you. It overpowers your natural beauty. I will be doing my own makeup too and I am scared. Thank for posting and keep trying with other people till someone gets it right!
