Please help me come up with a different name for Honorary Bridesmaid!

Recommended Posts

What else can I call friends that won't be standing at the alter? I want me and hubby to be at the alter. I want a couple friends and siblings to maybe walk down the aisle but sit down during the ceremony, also maybe wear the same color, but not matchy outfits...

any suggestions? has anyone had "honorary bridesmaids" instead if a true bridal party?

I don't have any really great ideas.....but if you are not having anyone stand at the alter with you, maybe they could just be called your "bridesmaids" or your "bridal party," except they won't stand at the alter like a traditional wedding? Your BM's don't have to do the traditional standing up at the alter, they can just sit in the front row?

Like I said, its not great or creative, but it is an idea. Maybe someone will have a better one for you :)

Hmmm... I like Pearlygirl's idea! I may end up doing the same thing if we don't have a lot of guests besides the WP. They will all be called bm's / gm's but if they are our only guests outside of parents and a few others; they will prob walk down the aisle and then take a seat in the front rows or something. They will all wear the VS convertible dress in different ways but same color.

If you don't want to call them BM's / GM's -- I have heard of them called:

I am not sure if I like the first 3 or four but still putting them out there-

Ladies in Waiting

Hand Maidens

Lovely Ladies

Mon Mademoisselles

I like this one though-

Leading Ladies

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
