Hi ladies,

So my next big task is to choose a photographer... what is everyone else doing? I know there are probably pages and pages of chit chat over photographers but there's so much to read through, i thought I would throw the question out there again. Are you going with whatever is included in the package or are you bringing your own or did you hire someone local?

I don't know what to do! I've looked at a few of the local photographers, prices seem really high. I've also looked into bringing someone from Toronto/Ottawa, still pricey when you factor in their travel expenses. I think I way underbudgeted photography! :(

I haven't heard or seen anything about a contract? Did they email it to you? the only thing I got back was the last details form.

I did send an email asking this question and I did get a reply that they do allow us to light and release lanterns at the resort. If you need me to forward you a copy of the email pm me:)

That's awesome news thank you!!  I have seen pictures of people doing this at night and it looks amazing!  I am thinking of getting a small amount, maybe just for our wedding party and ourselves and having everyone write a wish for us on them and doing a release.  

 

I think we will order from this site, as they have eco lanterns that are non-harmful to the environment.  They do also say on their website they you are able to travel with them if they are put in your carry on luggage.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
