Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Anyone getting married at the Iberostar Rose Hall? Our wedding date is in May 2010 (still plenty of time time plan!) but I haven't come across much threads for this resort. I see lots of Riu's, etc. but not very many Iberostars sad.gif

I'd love to see any actual wedding pics from this resort - it's become impossible to find any! I've tried tripadvisor, googling, etc. and still no luck. The wedding coordinator has been very helpful in providing as much detail as possible, but it would be nice to get some feedback (and visual references!) from past/present/future brides from this resort!

The search continues.....!

No your right, there is not alot of information or pictures for the Iberostar of Rose Hall. I plan to get married there in July of 2009 and the only good pics I seen were on tripadvisor also. The coordinator send me pics of the ceremony locations but thats it. My family is jamaican and my dad went there for x-mas and new years and he told me the resort is very nice and he have really good taste. He will also bring picture for me when he gets back so I will for sure post them when I get them. When I read your post i was glad that somebody feels the same way I feel.smile36.gif

Thanks Tashi! It's nice to finally hear from someone planning at the same resort! I am definitely going to book here, we're just getting our paperwork together. I remember driving past it when I was on vacation last year at the Riu Ocho Rios and it's gorgeous. But the main reason why I am very interested in Iberostar Rose Hall is because they only do one wedding a day. It makes it more personal and Loreto (the wedding coordinator) will only be focused on your day :)

Loreto has been helpful at passing over details - so far she (or he?) has sent me bouquet options, locations, menus, price lists for extras. I'm still new to this forum so I have yet to learn how to post attachments. You can also do a search of the resort on Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing and there are lots of pics there as well.

If I get more info, I will post here for sure!

I'm getting married there May 2009! We just decided after 10 years together to FINALLY tie the knot so I'm not wasting any time! I just notified the resort today that I wanted to have my wedding there so I'm sure I will be relying on you ladies for lots of information in the coming months!

We're planning for May 25 or 26th of 2010. I've been in contact with Loreto? I guess they work together? I'm a little concerned though because I've emailed more questions to the wedding coordinator over a week ago and I haven't heard back. Maybe I need to get used to island time?

As for centerpieces, I think they only supply the head table centerpiece (standard tropical flowers)...as for the other tables, I'm undecided, but will likely be something simple as I'm not sure yet if I should bring stuff with me or let the resort handle it. So many things to think about!!

Congrats! Hopefully you'll be able to tell us all about it when you finally tie the knot! I will keep posting here when I get any interesting details from the coordinator. Sounds like you're the first in this thread to get married at this resort. And don't worry hun, I've been together with my finally-fiance for almost 9 years...it'll be 10 years officially when we finally get married :)

OOh Yes they are on Island time down there so they will respond but not right away. I have a travel agent thats helping me a whole lot she got me great deals for my guest if your interested let me know. She works out of miami and she's Jamaican so she knows how to negotiate with them.

As far as the center pieces, the coordinator told me we have to get our own center pieces but they will set everything up for us. I was thinking of just geting glass bowls with water and puting 1 pretty pink flower in it with clear rocks at the bottom. I know someone that lives 5 minutes from the resort so I was planning to ship it to them

    • Yes, this happens all the time. One thing to consider is maybe to have the wedding at an off-site location where all your guests can go. There are several in Puerto Vallarta and Cancun Mexico. Most hotels offer a free wedding, but if a majority of guests are not staying there you'll be paying for not only the day pass, but for the food and beverage for each outside guest. Thanks - Sadie
    • When it comes to your Wedding Clothes, it's pretty normal to be flooded by numerous choices that are available in the market like clothing style, pattern, fabric, and colors.  Absolutely, I liked this dress and I will never miss wearing this outfit for the wedding. Thank you for sharing this post.
    • Hi guys! Thank you for sharing the valuable information. Some students think, “How do I write my book review?” and are confused by this sort of task, and others are happy to do it and enjoy the writing process a lot. Such a difference in perception and attitudes is caused by the ambivalence of this task.
    • Hi All, I have just gotten in touch with a TA and we are in the process of getting quotes for our wedding in either DR or Mexico. Now she said something that I wasn't  aware of and I wonder how others handled this as I just can't believe that we are the only one in this situation. We feel we are asking our guests already a for a lot to come a long way to our wedding (our guests come from Canada and Germany) and there are a few that wouldn't want to miss it (like my partner's brother) but they just don't have a lot of money. Our budget doesn't allow us to chip in for flights and accommodation so we are basically asking everyone to save up money for our big event. Now we are planning the wedding at a resort that I know some of our guests can't (or don't want to) pay for. We were hoping to find a place where guests have the option to book themselves a cheaper hotel or an AirBnB nearby and only come to our wedding. Our TA told us that the resort might not allow that or only for a limited percentage of our guests. That is terrible news for us! I think that a good 50% of our guests will also stay at the resort for one, two or even three weeks but how can we 'force' other people to stay at the hotel of OUR choice?  I get that the resort would charge a fee for day guests and obviously we expect to pay for food and drinks but I didn't know that we would have to agree to a certain percentage of the guests staying at the resort. I don't feel we have control over that. How do others handle that?
