Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Yay PhillyGal- I'm so happy that you posted and that we can use you as a resource. I'm sure Angel and I will have a ton of questions. So let me say THANK YOU ahead of time!!

A couple questions- did you rent out the steakhouse for your reception? Was the DJ set up in the steakhouse or outside it. Was there room to dance?

Did you have your ceremony on the beach or terrace? How was the setup?

(Tashi- I will definitely let you know about the packages my TA comes up with)

Thanks girls!!

PhillyGal,

Thank you so much for posting! I am getting married at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites on April 23rd this year and have struggled to find information of actual weddings that have taken place. Do you have pictures of the wedding ceremony you can post? I belive that whether you stay at the Iberostar Beach or the Suites it's the same ceremony spot and setup if you got married on the beach. Also, did you bring any table decorations for the dinner? I'm not sure if I just want to purchase flowers for the reception tables or if I should also bring candles and such. Did you get your hair and makeup done at the spa? If so, were you happy with the services? Sorry for all the questions, and I appreciate the help!

Send me your email addresses and i can send you some pictures. I have a zillion!!!

I'll try my best to answer your questions:

did you rent out the steakhouse for your reception? yes

Was the DJ set up in the steakhouse or outside it? he was set up outside the steakhouse but there were a couple speakers in the steakhouse, so it was fine.

Was there room to dance? yes, after we ate dinner, everyone got up and danced in the area outside the steakhouse. people either stayed in their seats in the steakhouse, most people danced and some people sat outside of the steakhouse and watched everything (there's still tables and chairs outside set up)

Did you have your ceremony on the beach or terrace? on the beach

How was the setup? set up with maybe 10 rows of 10 chairs with aisle markers - everyone faced the ocean. it was really beautiful!

Do you have pictures of the wedding ceremony you can post? I don't know how to post pics, i'll try.

Also, did you bring any table decorations for the dinner? no we had the flower people do the centerpieces and they did a terrific job. they also brought up the aisle markers from the ceremony and put them around the steakhouse.

Did you get your hair and makeup done at the spa? yes! and it was sooooo great! i would definitely recommend the spa staff. I got my nails done 2 days before the wedding, then they got messed up because of the water or something, and they redid them for free on the day of my wedding.

can you guys tell me how to upload photos??

I can Kiss you all. This is wonderful that we can all work together. Thanks in advance for all your help on everything. Toni, Girl I would like to see those pics. my email is nbarr25@yahoo.com. Now that you said that about Sandy I feel bad cause she respond to my emails very prompt but a few times it probably took 2 days and I email her back with a waiting remark. I will not do that again cause I feel her pain. I would like to get married on the terrace cause I can wear my shoes but the beach sounds really nice I will keep that in mind. No the center pieces how did the flower company set up your center pieces because i was thinking of shipping bowls with candles and such but if they can do it it will be easier. I guess I will see them when you send the pics. Ican't wait to see them. You can add pics through kodakgallery or flickr by just adding a album. I never worked with flickr before so I don't know how it work. But with Kodakgallery you can create a album and email the album or invite people to view the album. What were your colors. Ok ok Ill wait for the pics

Thanks again Toni

Thanks so much Toni! You are a LIFESAVER!! You are the first bride that we know of that has already gotten married at this resort! I will send you a message in a short while so that you can forward pics. I can't wait to see them!

So far Sandy has been good at responding. I'm looking to book at the Beach Hotel and not at the Suites - Just want it to be more affordable for our guests to come (plus there are kids coming as well).

Luckily,my requested date is available!!! May 25, 2010!!!

Thanks ladies for all the information so far!!!!!

Got them!! Thanks you so much. It definitely put my mind to ease about the ceremony site (beautiful) and the spa service- (loved everyone's hair). Overall it looks like everyone had an amazing time and that's what I'm hoping for!

Some follow up questions: did you use the minister/rabbi they provided or did you bring/hire an outside one?

How did you like the steel drum band for the ceremony music?

Did you have open bar at your reception? Was it expensive?

Did you have a cocktail hour between the ceremony & reception?

Ok i'll stop there so I don't overwhelm you. Thanks again!!

    • Hello Vernicula - Congratulations on your engagement! I agree with everything MarieSam previously posted. One of the most important things when choosing an agent is there experience and their level of  expertise with destinations and resorts.  All of the Wright Travel agents have years of experience working with wedding groups, we have built excellent relationships with many resorts and we have visited, toured and stayed at many resorts in several different  destinations.  Email is one way of communication so you have everything in writing and can access this a anytime, but phone calls can be just as useful. Our goal is to make sure all of your questions are answered from beginning to end and we are happy to set up a phone call whenever you would like. Some couples prefer to only communicate via email and others also want that reassuring voice with a phone call. We can do whatever works best for each coiple.  Please let us know what questioned

    • Hello!! My fiancé and I are planning on a destination wedding and we are wondering if there are any recommendations for a travel agency to use. I’ve emailed some I found online, but find it tough just communicating through email before we decide where to book. After we book, obviously email is convenient! We are in the Niagara Falls On area and would love to sit and meet with someone but don’t know where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you
    • I’m getting married next May at the Azul Sensatori  in Cancun, I believe they have a hotel specific DJ. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on that versus spending money for an outside vendor and if so any recommendations on a good DJ in that area? Thanks for the help.
    • I admire brave brides. I'm generally afraid of a wedding. Breaking outdated rules is cool. You're good😇
