    I paid through my credit card, but paid it off as soon as I saw the charge on the card.

      Ours was about 1/3 cash and 2/3 credit cards.

        2/3 of ours will be cash, 1/3 will go on our line of credit....to be paid off shortly after the wedding.

          I've been putting it on my card and paying it off (most of it) as I get the statements but also have a savings for the hotel piece of it.

          As far as photographers goes, we are using Gwendolyn Tundermann out of Jacksonville. Her prices are great! You should check out her website and blog.

            We just paid off our wedding on monday...and we paid it all in cash (well with out debit card)...we were lucky enough to be allowed to make payments on our wedding, we did not have a minimum we had to pay nor a restriction of making a payment every month...so our payments could vary each month or we could skip a month if we needed to. but we knew exactly how much we had to do each month and thats what we did and we ended up paying it off 2 months early! soo happy!

              Thank you all so much for sharing! I was hoping to keep my budget around 8-10k, not sure of that will happen. The photographer is REALLY important to me!

                We've payed everything with credit cards and have paid the credit cards off right away.
                We used credit so if for any reason something goes wrong we can always try to argue the charges, but everything has been great so far.

                  O wedding budgets. Well so far this is what we have
                  Travel - $2802
                  Reception - $1600
                  Speaker Rental - $120.00
                  Rings - $300.00 (not including engagement ring)
                  Invitations - $200.00

                  So our total wedding budget so far is $5022.00 My FI and I did not want to go over $5000.00 so we are pretty close. Alot of stuff is being given to me as gifts. One aunt is designing and embordering my OTT bags as a wedding gift. Another aunt is purchasing all the contents to go in the OTT bags as a wedding gift so I saved money on both of those items.

                    We were hoping to keep the budget around $10,000, but I think we are going to be closer to around $12,000. It all still depends on how many RSVPs we get back so that we can tell the coordinator how many will have dinner and open bar. A difference of 15 people could mean $1000, so who knows at this point.

                    Here is a rough breakdown:
                    Reception: $8000
                    Band: $2000
                    Cake and flowers: $500
                    Dress/Mess Dress for FI - $750
                    Photographer - $800
                    STDs/Invites/Favors/Decorations (all done myself) - $200

                      we're trying to stay really close to $15k, but its getting really hard. we had six guests RSVP at the last minute last week.
