Grand Riviera Princess & Grand Sunset Princess

I have noticed that many have already booked their dates for the GRP. I am still narrowing down my choices. Does anyone have any information about the wedding packages offered? I haven't had any luck finding rates or getting a response from the resort. If you don't mind emailing me anything you have related to the packages and pricing that would be great!

Thanks!

Hello All Future Brides. Just wanted to let everyone know I was married at GRP on June 20th and I absolutely loved it!! The only thing I would change was taking pictures after the wedding outside of the gazebo. All of our photos came out with the shadows of the gazebo and I will need to use photoshop on all of them just to fix it. I had about 40 guests at my wedding and everyone really enjoyed themselves. This is a great resort if you have kids; they have a kids club which is great. None of the kids wanted to leave! This was a well needed vacation and we plan on returning very soon. Of course we went when the swine flu was going on so we basically had the resort to ourselves! So that was a plus!

Looks great! I can't wait :)
I just watched this and loved getting a sneak peek! Thanks for posting the link!

This resort is a front-runner for our May 2010 wedding. They haven't released their 2010 package information yet so I'm eager to know how much will change. There seems to be conflicting information between what the wedding coordinator sent and what is posted on their website.

I'd love to know what other couples have done for their reception. We're currently comparing the costs of an a la carte dinner, gala dinner or beach party...

I didn't have a photographer. Everyone just took pictures to I had to ask for them on a cd when we came back. We didn't have a reception; after we got married we went to La Vaqueria to eat. After that we had our first dance and the bottom lobby. We didn't pay for a dj either, just burned a cd and gave it to the band that was playing.

Hi ladies,

I am contemplating the GPR for my wedding in April 2010 and was wondering whether any of you have booked the beach package at $80 per person. If so, was it worth it?

I want something special and I don't know whether seating in one of a la carte restaurant would be quite special enough.

Thanks

It has actually gone up to $85 a person. You should e-mail and ask for the new stuff they have out.

We booked ours at $80 a person, but wont know if it was worth it until November. :)

But....we have stayed at this resort before and knowing the restaurants there, we didnt really want to have our reception in one of them. There are a lot of people at this resort and the restaurants were always full. It isn't very private.

Hey Michelle

Congrats

Can I ask where you did your first dance?

We are looking at doing the Italian resturant for the reception and then going to one of the bars after. Not sure how we are going to do the first dance though

Or any one who has done... would love to hear how you pulled it off

Also what bar do you recommend for dancing etc after?

Hi Ladies,

I was wondering if any of you are getting married in April 2010 @ this resort? We are getting married on the 29th.

Is anyone else getting married on the beach? Have they given you any choices as to what you can and can't do? Everything goes through my TA to the resort and well my TA's are brutal....at first they were all nice and wanting to help now that they have my deposit they take forever to get back to me (or I have to remind them), they don't tell me anything its really frustrating.

Does anyone have any of the new pricing? Or an e-mail address so I can message them myself?

Thanks :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
