  1. I had alot of songs put onto CDs and and ipod. I had about 10 songs to be played while the guests were being seated and waiting (love songs), I had a song for the GM and Groom, the BMs, myself walking down the isle, a song while we were signing our documents, and then our exit song. I also had songs to be played for the cocktail hour, and then all our reception dance music along with our first dance and instrumental music to be played while we were eating. All the CDs were label as well as put into playlists for the ipod. The hotel has a music tec that controls the music for the ceremony, and i must say there were dead on! I told Emma about my music lists and she said not to worry about as they do weddings everyday. There was a minor screw up..they didnt play the songs that i picked for the guests while there were waiting, but it was ok, when i watched out video there was music playing and it was really nice slow music..so it was ok. But the rest of the music during the ceremony was dead on! When i watch our wedding video i cant believe how perfect each song was.
  2. Im glad i could help you. It true, there are sooo many questions you can have. But thats only normal because you dont know what to except out there. But i can assure you they do a wonderful job. As for what my husband wore on his feet, he and his GM wore closed toe beige shoes. I did my reception in a gala room becuase we had so many ppl and i wanted it to be more private and have more time. But i did see alot of grooms wearing sandals. Just shoot your WC an email and see what she says. Let me know if you have any other questions
  3. Helllo.. No worries about asking so many questions, i was the same way. Its hard planning something far away and not knowing how it all works. I had alot of songs put onto CDs and and ipod. 4. hello, WIth regards to the DJ, i have to say it was kinda pointless to have hired him. My sister made labeled CD's and an ipod with songs list (ceremony, reception, etc) The guy who worked the music durning the ceremony was awesome, all the music was dead on and at the perfect time, but the reception DJ wasnt the greatest. He just kinda stood there, so my sister and the rest of my BM just kept going up to his station and changing the songs themselves. It all worked out in the end, but if i were you I would just get the equiptment and pulg in your own music. Hope that helps! ANy other questions feel free to ask How is the rest of your planning coming along?
  5. Hello Jessicak, I actually didnt end up getting the photo booth The resort told me i wasnt able to bring it onto the property unless I paid a fee and it ended up not being worth it. We also took into consideration that we did only have the recpetion for 4 hours and didnt want our guests to be at the booth the whole time, we wanted them up and dancing and enhoying the night. To be honest i didnt even notice it wasnt there.
  6. Hi Ladies..Hope you are all doing well. As your weddings are all approaching quickly I know that your stress level is getting up there. I too just recently got married this past April 2012 at GSP so i know what you are all going through and that you are all wanting to make your day perfect as possible. I also know that loosing weight is one of the hardest challenges, as you want to look perfect that day. I wanted to share this weight loss product that I have been using to loose weight and gain energy...Its called BodyByVi. A new phenomenon that is taking over how to loose weight. Its a meal replacement shake with tons of vitamins and minerals to help you get through each of your days. Another amazing thing about this product is that it is actually affordable. You replace 2 meals a day with these shakes (that actually taste like cake mix) and then have a healthy dinner at night..BodyByVi actually works great! Also, the thing about this product is that even if you miss a day at the gym your still keeping your calories down and getting your essenial vitamins you need to keep you energized and focused. Please take a look at this website for more information on the product and to order: http://DanielleSequeira.bodybyvi.com/ I currently did the 90 day challenge (replacing 2 meals a day with the shake) and I lost close to 20 pounds. Even if you are looking to just loose a few pounds before your big day, this product is perfect for you. Give it a shot..all you have to loose is weight For more info please check out the website. You wont be dissapointed

  8. Hello Ladies, So i am back from our Mexican Wedding Extravaganza at Grand Riviera Princess..and let me tell you all you have nothing to worry about! I was soooo stressed that it wasnt going to go as i visioned but it actually went better. Everything was wonderful. Emma was really great too! The day started off with me and my girls doing breakfast and then i had some time to myself, which was really nice and needed before the craziness started. My dress arrived just after 1130am as promised, and my flowers just after noon. I did red and white roses for my flowers and they were just as i wanted. I mean you cant really screw up roses, but they were still perfect. Our photographer came at 130pm with his assistant and went to work. He was in mty room and his assitant was in the boys room. I used Juan Navarro, and let me tell you he was amazing. He def loves his job and knows what he is doing. I strongly recommend him. My ceremony was at 3pm at the Riviera Gazebo, and it was BEAUTIFUL! We got picked up in the trolly and made our way down to the gazebo. I was so worried that the music wasnt going to be on key and that something was going to go wrong, but Emma was there guiding everyone (GM & BM) down the bride and the music technition was perfectly on que. The ceremony was about 20 mins, and was beautiful. We did a symbolic ceremony and added a prayer, and it was more that i could have hoped for. The day was a little windy, which caused my cathedral vein to be all over, but other than that we were def blessed with an awesome day of sunshine. Once the ceremony was complete we had a cocktail hour set up beside the gazebo for an hour so we could have some drinks while pics were being taken. That was a great touch. We had our reception in the Jalisco Gala room with the Italian buffet, and it was worth every penny. So many of our guests said that it was the best meal they ate during there stay. The room was beautiful, just as i had in mind. We booked the hotel DJ, and i wasnt the happiest with him. We did have our own CDs and ipod, and for some reason he kept playing the same music. I think that he had a CD on repeat or something. But my sister jumped to take care of it, and got him to start using the ipod and then all was good. I dont really think that many people noticed. All in all our wedding was wonderful!! My dream wedding for sure! I strongly recommend this resort. They really do know what they are doing when it comes to weddings. The resort is big and beautiful. I really dont have anything to complain about. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask I know what you are all going through. And for those of you who have kept up with me and E convos, we actually did end up running into eachother. I was sooo great to meet her! E..So great to meet you! Sorry i was so drunk..lol. I wish we got a chance to run into eachother again I hope your day was a wonderful as mine was. I am sure you were a beautiful bride. I cannot wait to hear all about it!!!!!
  9. Heyyyy E, its Danielle.. So sorry i havent come on to chat and check in. For some reason i dont get notified through my email ne more when someone responds or posts..weird. But ne ways, How are ya???? Were down to the final days away now..eekkkkk! 4 more sleeps for me.. Im so glad to hear that your dress turned out the way you wanted it and that shirt C got sounds pretty deadly..lol I really hope that we can find eachother down there, that would be so fun! I am sure we will. We will probally be at the party pool too, and ill just start shouting out Erica..LOL!! Im glad to hear that you legal ceremony went well, it dsounds like it was a great day. Our was this past Sunday, and it was perfect. Shane had on his tuxedo shirt and I had on my bride shirt, we liked that we made it a little fun. I didnt relaize how emotional i was going to get, but i totally did. Then of course so did my MOH..lol. It was actually a really nice moment. Then we had a couple friends stop by and bring champagne. (I got a little tipsy) Its so weird to think that we are actually, legally married women, its totally doesnt feel like it. I think once our Mexico weddings come and go, it will then feel a bit more real. Everything for me is pretty much good to go. I was all over the place this weekend trying to finish off my list. (Cake toppers, shorts, marriage license, toiletries, etc) Really all i have to do is finish packing and writting some cards. What do you have left to do?? And i really hope that your foot is recovering, we need you to be at %100
  10. Hi E, Glad to hear your toe is doing better. Thats great news! No problem about RW&Co, hope that helped. I actually have to go get my FI a white dress shirt with cuff links holes this weekend, because that is my gift to him the morning of the wedding, and he went out and bought a linen shirt for him and the boys and they dont have cuff link holes. So i am going to go to the Bay and grab him one so that when his gift gets delevered he had the choice if he wants to wear the linen shirt for the ceremony, as it will be a little cooler for him, and then he can waer the other one for the reception part of the night. I was going to steal his shirt and go get cuff link holes put into it, but it might be a little risky as he has been trying his suit on for the last couple nights..lol.. so cute! I love that you are doing the bridal shower at the spa, great idea. We actually arrive on April 21st, probally arrive to the hotel around 630pm. We are just doing a welcome dinner and cocktail night, then a pub crawl and then the day after the wedding prob a catamaran with whoever wants to go. I didnt want to plan too much, just take it as it comes. I picked up my dress last night. OMG.. the seamstress has just been nothing but a nightmare. I just couldnt wait to get out of there. But i do love my dress. Once i walked out of the store i started to have a little bit of an anxiety attack..lol.. the excitement and nerves got to me. But im all good now. Our legal ceremony is on Sunday, i think that family is allowed, because a gf of mine had her husbands grandparents as witnesses a couple years ago. Maybe just ask to be safe. I still have to go get our wedding license..haha just havent had time. Ill go before Sunday. That is so cute that your mom is emotional and wanting it to be a speacial day, my mother in law is the same. She wanted to be there, but i thought that it wouldnt be fair that she be there and my mom not (my mom lives in the okanagan) so I actually didnt tell her or anyone else about it . Its just us and Shanes BM and my MOH. Is your wedding date in Mexico going to be your anniversary date?? And yes, i do still have some things to take care of, but i know ill get them done. I got the whole weekend..lol. I have no choice, it has to get done. Next week is just full of appointments and gym dates..hahah. Its all good.
  11. Heyy E, How are ya?? Are you as excited/stressed out as I am. My word, i cannot believe where the time has gone! i know what you mean about us taking oover this page a bit.. sorryy ladies... I also cannot believe about your toes, I hope you get better soon!! You got a wedding to take part in! and you need your toes Did your doc say you will be good to go by your wedding date? Your weekend in Whislter sounded great. My was a hoot!! I wish i could go back too. I have the girls surprise me with the condo room all decorated in bachelorette decorations, it was so cute. The first night they again surprised me with a Sexy bride shirt to wear when we went for dinner and some drinks. I was a little tipsy to say the least the first night, i guess you could say i was eager to get the party started..lol. Saturday they surpsied me with a savenger hunt! It was great. They dressed me up in a paint suit and everyone drew some pretty embrassing things on me, and i had to stay in that all afternoon..HAHAHA. The evening was super fun. One of my gfs showed up with jello shooter mania, and we did dinner in the condo, as we knew it was going to take 17 girls forever to get ready. The girls were all dress in red and black with light up devils horns and i was in white with all the fixings. We ended up hitting a couple bars, but Tommys africas hooked us up and that was were we stayed. It was such an unbelievable time. Love my girls! For shirts we actually just got the boys there shirts from RW & co the other day. We got white linen shirts. There great and it will go with the linen pants the boys are waearing. Go check out RW & Co, they had some nice stuff there. Also, beleive it or not, Old Navy also had some nice shirts too, and affordable. I really cannot belive how close our days are coming. Im not so much stressed as i am just running out of time. I started packing the other day, oh boy, my room was a disaster! lol. I keep forgetting im not just packing for a vacay, there is a wedding too!! hahaha. I pretty much have everything good to go, its just now the little things. (Pick up my dress tomorrow, pack all the wedding details, get hair, nails and waxed, order american money, buy smokes, get FG basket, write my BM cards, cake topperget travel insurance, toileties, etc) I know that this weekend ill be all over the place. I just feel like i dont have enough hours in a day. But i have faith that i will get it all done. What about you? You almost ready to go? And what is this about your flight being changed??? Wow, that is crazy. I hope it all works out for you guys. I am flying with Westjet, I havent heard anything yet, but who knows. We having our legal ceremony this Sunday, its so crazy to think that im going to be married this weekend Whohohooooooooo!! Its almost go time!! Cant wait!!
  12. Hi E, Yes i know, it is coming so fast, but lets not get too stressed, I know everything will work out great. Its hard not to get stressed and think about everything, I am constently thinking of everything that needs to get done and all the little details. But either way its gonna be an amzing trip and wonderful wedding. I think that the shoes you got the you BM will be enough, but if your not feeling like it is maybe go get them something small. Go check out an engrraving place, they got tons of great things. You could get them something small like a zippo, or keychain or something like that with there name and nickname, that would be cute and the prices there are good too. I am also really happy with they way the shirt for the FG and RB turned out, i think that they will like them too, something they can wear so that thye can feel apart of the group. I hear ya with they boys, mine are the same. I know that they only need to get there shoes and shirts, but i know that with them it will be a production. I have already told Shane what shoes i like, so its up to them to go get them. And yah with the shirts i am not too concerned as they can just to to sears or something and pick some up. Is C do a tan linen suit or is he in something else? What are your colors again? Ok so with the music, i am also super concerned. I have no idea what to think or do. I have hired the DJ for the reception but i have told Emma that were bringing our ipod and CDs, but i dont know how that is going to work. Your idea sounds great, that program sounds like it will work perfect. My sister has also organized all the music into different categories so its easy for whoever needs to use it. And that another thing, who is this music technician that Emma said controls the music durning the ceremony? I am going to bring down a printed list to give to her and this tech so they know what to play. I almost would rather someone from our party do that music, you know what I mean? I love that you are doing the catamaran the night before the wedding, i think thats a great idea to keep ppl in check so that they dont go too crazy. That is my concern too with the boys, i told them not to go nuts, but knowing them im sure a few of them will be hung over. I wont be pleased but at least the weedding isnt till 3 so they have some time to recover. Are you going to do a walk through of the wedding when your down there? I think that the night before I am going to get everyone to meet so that we can do a walk through just so ppl know where to stand and all that. I know the hotel says they dont do rehersals but I dont need to make it a big deal, ill just get everyone to meet at the gazebo and will do it on our own. And everyone can dispurse until the morning. I think that for the ceremony I am going to get Shane and his mom to walk in together, and his GM either right before him or after him.. what do you think? And then for the girls i have a song for them and a seperate song for me. I think that I am just going to get there song to play and have it go until it plays out, I dont think its that long, and then my song can start. I think your idea of latin music is a good idea, there is also the somewhere over the rainbow song by Israel Kamakawiniole and its sooo beautiful. I would love to use it as my entrance song, but my gf used it for her entrance song a couple years ago at her wedding the the Dominican. She isnt coming so i was thinking of asking her if she would mind if i used it also, Do you think that is weird? I have as of now the Canon in D for my walk in but the somewhere over the rainbow is just so nice and beachy. Well this weekend is you stagette is Whistler, Whohoooo! hope you have an amazing time! Fill me in on how it went and what you guys got up too. Take care and have funnnnn
  13. Hey E, yes can you believe that its happening so fast..Eeekkkk! I am getting so excited, I almost want to start packing now..LOL. This weekend i got soo much done. I didnt know what to get the Flower girl and ring bearer so I ended up getting them custom made shirts at this store in Coquitlam Center that says flower girl and ring bearer. I thought and thought what do you get 10 year old kids?! I was going to do jewlery but I just figured since we are all going to have shirts they will feel more included. Hope them like them. I also go my FI engraved cuff links, they turned out so cute. I got my MOH a pink zippo lighter that says MOH on one said and then Always on the other, along with a pendant that i just ordered for her this morning. I also just order the BM custom embroidered sandals, they look cute so i hope they turn out nice and get here on time. Then i went to Micheals and got the boxes and ribbon for the BM earrings that I also go them for the ceremony, and some other nic nacs. The boys are still all over the plce..lol.. So i am hoping they get there butts in gear and get on there shirts and shoes. (There goig to give me a heart attack..lol) Your shoes sound great! I cant wait to see some pics on them. That reminds me that I should start wearing mine around the house to break them in. Oh gawd there are so many things still to do. This store in Yaletown you found seems to have great things. I wish I wasnt so far from DT, I would totally go check it out. I have just been mall hoping every weekend trying to cross things off my list. Thats too bad that your stagette is this weekend, that would have been pretty cool to have met up there. My FI is this weekend, from what i have heard it seems like its going to be a blast. I also heard there dressing him up as a bunny and going paintballing..HAHAHAH I wish i was there to see it! But yes mine is next weekend. But i hope you have a blast!! I am sure you will. Cant wait to hear all about it As far as the music goes, I am still not getting any responses from any past brides with comments on this issue. I dont know what to do. I have my sister downloading all the music onto na ipod and CDs but as for the DJ i dont know. I asked Emma what she her suggestion was and she said to bring the ipod and CDs and there will be a tech from the hotel to control the music for the ceremony, and for me to bring a song list in the order that we want them to be played. And for the DJ she basically said the same. That he will play what is on our ipod as he might not have all the songs that we are wanting. So i have no clue on what is going to happen. I think as long as we have the ipod we can always have someone from our party go and change the music and help the DJ out..you know what i mean? I did not do any programs, should I? I kinda just put together an itinerary that i will pass out to everyone once we get there. I didnt really know what to put on the programs. Shoot well now what do I do? Do you think that itinerary is enough? My schedule for the day is: 9 10am- Wakre and Shower/Breakfast Meeting hair/make up artist @ 11am (He is doing me, myself and Grandma) I have my 3 gfs that all went to make up school so they are going to do eachothers and the BMs hair and makeup. 11-2pm: Is probally going to be just have some drinks and getting ready, take pics and all that jazz. 2pm: Photpgraher arrives to get pics of us gals and the boys getting ready. 3pm: Ceremony 330-430: Cocktail Hour on the beach 430-530: Bride and Groom go take pics/Guests get a break 6-10pm: Reception What does you schedule look like? Did i miss anything? What are you doing the night before the wedding? Are you not going to see your groom till the wedding ceremony? Ohh i have a question.. What are you doing for the flower girl basket? (If you have a FG) I am already bringing alot down so i dont know what to do. I asked Emma if they supply a basket and she said i would probally be happier if i brought my own. What song are you walking into the ceremony too? What about your BMs & GM..do they have a seperate song? I am confused on what to do with the Groom and the boys.. Do i get them to walk in together? Do i get the boys to go frist and then the groom to walk in with his mom? I have no idea on this? What is your plan?? Sorry for the long message I am just a littel overwhelmed now with all the little details that I think i am going a little coo coo..lol. How are you doing with the stress..are you finding yourself to be calm or stressed?
  14. Olaaa FranticBride!! How are ya? Its been a while since we have chatted. Things on your end seem to be going smooth. Can you believe were only 6 weeks away??!! Its happening so fast. My end is so so. I still have to finish up some last min details as well. We just got the boys pants, now all they need is there shoes and shirts. The girls are done, I am pretty much done, have my final fitting in April. So yah its just a few little things, but those little things still are stressful. I am half done my gifts for my BM, i am having a hard time. I found them these really cute flower earings that i got, and i founf online these personalized flips flops that i am thinking of ordering too. I dont want to go over board even though there is so much that i want to get for them, but i did already purchase some of there BM dress, so i am thinking that the earings and the flips slops should be good. My FI is having a hard time with his boys, he has no idea what to get them. He has a few ideas but isnt sure on what he wants to do. He stag is the same weekend as yours and then mine is the weekend after is whislter too.. i cant believe how fast the time is flying by. Do you know what the girls have planned for you in whistler? We were going to do a pub crawl but the woman who runs its was giving all my girls the run around, so we decided to do our own pub crawl..lol. What is your theme for the night? Where did you end up getting you wedding shoes? Did you get white or something sassy?? What have you decided for you hair? I am lost with my hair. I thought that i knew what i wanted but the other night at my dress fitting my MOH told me she didnt really like my hair half up. I am glad she was honest but now im torn. I have a bling hair band and wanted to wear it in my hair half up and curly, but now i have no idea. My BM are doing there hair curl and to one side with flowers in there hair, so i dont really want to do the exact same, i am thinking just having my hair all down and curly. I dont know ne more..lol I cant believe all the work that your doing for the tables, it sounds like its going to be great. I decided to not do table numbers or anything like that. I am just going to have 2 tables signs that say reserved for family and the rest of our guests can sit wherever. I am already bringing down, shot glasses, red napkins, the 3 vases and sand for the sand ceremony, mr and mrs chair sashes, and some other nick nacs, so i didnt want to over do it on how much i was bringing down. I forgot what you got for you BM and GM.. what did ya get them again??
  15. Hello, No i have still no received an answer regarding the music issue. I am currently having my sister download all the music (ceremony, cocktail and reception) on an ipod along with CDs. I have requested to have the hotel DJ at our recpetion and then i was going to give him our ipod and see what he can do. But i am so nervous as to what will happen. Even with the ceremony..who controls the mucis?? What are your plans for the music?
