I wouldn't! I like the side diamonds and I think a band would cover them. My ring is somewhat similar to yours (at least from the side view) and I decided to forgo a band too.

And I did this! I have a band that I wore on my right hand during the ceremony, but we used my Ering during the exchange. I wanted my ering to transfer to being the wedding ring. I wear the band when I travel, camp, or do anything in which I don't want to risk losing my ring.

I have a wedding band I wear with my e-ring, but I also have another plain (no diamonds) band that I wear to the gym, doing stuff around the house, or when I'm not in the mood to wear much jewellery. We used both in the ceremony...he put my diamond wedding band on my left hand, and my plain one on my right hand...I'm a huge advocate of the extra wedding band because I actually wear it quite often.

I'm so happy to hear that some of you have decided not to wear a wedding band WITH your e-ring. My e-ring also has 3-sided pave and people always assume that I am planning on getting a custom wedding band to wear with it, and I get some strange looks when I say I don't want a wedding band. I've already decided that I'd rather not cover up the side diamonds so I plan on using my e-ring as my wedding ring as well.

I def like the suggestion of just getting a plain band for the gym, gardening and taking the dog out!! I think I will do that....I'm constantly envisioning my ring flying through the air into the ocean as I throw a stick into the water for my dog!! haha

I thought I had posted my original ering in this thread, but I guess maybe it got deleted or something (the photobucket link probably was dead). Anyway, we went to Disney World in April and lost my ring in the Animal Kingdom. It was a comedy of errors that basically took place the whole day until we lost my ring, I won't get into the whole story, but I will post pics of my new ring that I picked up last night!! It's pretty similar to my original, just bigger, better color and quality. Oh and it is a fancy yellow diamond.

Here is my original ering:

I love it so much I feel newly engaged. But that might also have something to do with the fact my husband surprised me and picked the ring up himself, and he re-proposed with flowers and the ring. He's awesome.

Oh Carly, that is amazing. I am very sorry that you lost your first ring but it is awesome that your husband proposed again. I have to admit, I actually love your new ring even more than your first one. I'm so happy to hear that your sad story turned into a wonderful story in the end.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
