Haha I think we were typing at the same time! I don't know what it is about Carlisle...Esme I think is great...but Carlisle I'm not so sure about.

I thought Jasper looked FREAKY in the Twilight Movie - like a non hot edward sissorhands! Hopefully in New Moon they wont make him look like such a freak! Cassondra - I agree, Carlise also freaked me out a bit. I think Emmet was the only one that was perfectly cast LOL

 

Savannah - is New Moon PR paying you? Haha I think you deserve some of the cut from the movie for all the positive press I love your insights!!! I totally agree with everything you said

I agree with everything you just said! lol. Jasper freaks me out, you crack me up with the non hot edward sissorhands reference! Carlise was ok, but bothers me a little. I actually don't like who they cast as Esme, maybe its because I have seen her in some other things and she just wasn't who I pictured and doesn't seem to fit with Carlise- at least in my head. Another thing about Jasper- the one they casted doesn't seem to "fit" with the wonderful and perfect choice for Alice that they casted. They did brilliant there!

Peter Facinelli is HAWT out of the vamp makeup. I think he makes a splendid Carlisle! Love his voice. The creep factor is the hair job...they dyed it waaaay too light in the first movie. It almost blends into his face. From the looks of it, I don't think they changed it much either.

To be honest, I think they nailed the casting all the way around with the exception of the Hales. I'm just not feelin' either one of 'em in these roles, though I like Jasper so much I just over look the physical wrongness of the actor. lol Kellan Lutz makes the PERFECT Emmett and I just wish they had let them all have more screen time to showcase what they can actually do with their roles...but this next go round should be better.

They also changed the contact lenses and the makeup...looks sooooo much better, slicker, more polished and just more REAL than what they did last time. You could barely tell they even had "odd" eyes in the first movie. This go round, they'll pop and really are gold. The bad vamps/nomads eyes are actually BLOOD red, the way they should be,which is cool. I couldn't even tell anything about theirs in the first flick.

Check out this lil' ditty to see what they've done to the makeup/contacts..Pattinson doesn't have his in, but Rachelle LeFevre/Victoria (who is so freakin gorgeous she sickens me) has her contacts in, and Ashley/Alice is in full gear. It looks awesome!

So I just started getting into the books. I'm on the last one now. I'm so addicted. I find myself laughing out loud actually and yelling at the books all the time.

 

Oh and Jacob is a pompous ass!

 

Once I'm done this book, I'll go back and read through the whole thread. I don't want to be upset on how it ends!

There are so "unofficial" trailers on there as well as lots of entertaining tidbits.

 

Its too long till New Moon comes out... I wish time would go faster! My 13 year old future step-daugther and I will be at the midnight showing, we already made plans! I thought she was the biggest Twilight fan ever but I told her that I think Savannah has her beat! lol. Although she has 5 or 6 Twilight shirts and wears a different one every day, a twilight bag she carries everywhere with her, a bracelet like the one Jacob gives Bella and of course anything else you can thing of that is Twilight. But at thirteen she can get away with that! I suppose I would look silly at work sporting all that gear everyday!

Truth be told? I'm honestly more of a Pattinson fanatic than I am Twi-hard. I know..difficult to believe.tee hee I just learn everything about the saga/movies because I follow all he is involved in and I LOVE the books. I doubt I'd care much anymore if he hadn't been in that first flick since it was such a complete failure in my eyes, if not the box office. He's an amazing singer (blues) and musician. I'm a huge fan.

 

I remember 13....fondly. I'd so have my gear on and sport it proudly! lol ...I can't wait for my girls to get to that stage, and I am sooooo tryin to hang on to the last vestiges of that feeling so that I can share it with them.

 

And yea..the newmoon blogging site is FANTASTIC. That chick is on top of her game! There are some great fan-made "trailers", especially the ones showing Steven Strait (actor from The Covenant and 10,000 B.C.) in the role of Jacob..I was so rooting for him to be the re-cast til they announced that Lautner convinced them he could step up. He still looks like a child, whereas Strait looks like....a man. grrrrrowl! Whatta man! lol
