My plans changed and we moved the wedding up!

Recommended Posts

So after much research and getting so close to begin booking everything for our destination wedding in Key West we have decided to totally change the plans. Mostly due to the fact that the majority of our family and close friends cannot afford to travel we decided to run off to Kauai and get married on the beach in January! I guess we are eloping but we are telling everyone that we are doing it so is it really called eloping?

We are planning on having an AHR in May. I know itâ€s a long time after the actual ceremony but due to my FI school schedule and money it would work out better that way. Hopefully we will have a better turnout for that since it will be in our home state of Colorado and there are still several people who havenâ€t visited or itâ€s been awhile since they have.

So, now I have to really get all my stuff in order for our wedding day! Then when we get back I can start planning the AHR! Iâ€m excited!!! I have tons to do now though! I just ordered my real touch flowers to make my bouquet for the ceremony last night! At lest thatâ€s a start in the right direction. And Iâ€m starting my dress shopping tomorrow!

I just wanted to share my exciting news with you all!

Ooh that is exciting news! I have always told FI that if planning got too obnoxious, we could always "run away" to get married somewhere. He nixed it because he didn't want to be hearing about it from his family for the next 30 years.rofl.gif

I'm totally jealous! Can't wait to see how it turns out.

    • What color is your wedding? You can go with warm autumn-inspired colors such as burnt oranges, dark reds, burgundy, bright yellows, like fall foliage   https://printsbery.com/invitations/wedding/burgundy   What planning have you guys done?
    • We booked our wedding for April 2021 but the venue let us know at this time they are still implementing Covid measures so we should not have more than 50 guests, etc. We also made sure the contract had an "out" clause that would let us get a refund should the pandemic blow up again, or have the ability to reschedule without penalty.
    • I am having my wedding scheduled in November 2020. I am too much worried about how all the things will be managed in this pandemic situation. About everything like the guest list, preparations, my attire and all. The only thing I am relaxed is about finances. In Feb only me and my fiancé applied for the wedding loans. We have applied early because both of us are having bad credit we had a doubt that it will be approved or not. But our wedding loans with bad credit were timely approved and we have planned accordingly but now this pandemic has spoiled all our preparations. We are trying to be positive and trying to celebrate our new beginnings.
