JUNE 2009 BRIDES post

Recommended Posts

Hey girls! I'm so excited...our invites are out and getting reply cards back is so much fun. So far we have 65 guests booked!

I still have a lot to do but it feels good to have the invites out. Some of the stuff we have left I feel like you can't do until you know how many poeple are going to come...OOT bags, favors, place settings, etc. So our reply cards are due by March 1 and I plan on being very busy after that finishing up all of our projects.

My fiance has still not decided what he's going to wear, and that's starting to bug me, but I guess it's not exactly like buying a wedding dress. LOL

I have my first shower next weekend and I'm soooo excited!

Hey Ladies! FI has been out of town since the end of Jan. and even though I miss him so much, I must say that I have been getting so much stuff done. I have forgone asking him his opinion on things! I know he should have a say, but it is just on stuff like invites and programs. He has never seemed interested in those things!

I have my program fans designed, I just need to print them, cut them out and put together

We are only sending out invites for the AHR, and those are almost done

I picked up my dress yesterday and ordered a veil

MOH has her dress

Putting together ceremony decorations

24 people have booked (still waiting on some of FI friends)

Looking at cakes today for AHR

Reception hall is booked

Caterer for AHR booked

DJ for AHR booked

Still waiting for FI to decide on his clothes for Jamaica wedding.... this is a little frustrating! I told him that he could pick out his outfit, Best man and my Dad's.... after he emailed me a picture of a bright blue shirt, I think that I may have spoke too soon!!!blush2.gif

Hi girls, well I'm finally making a decision on my wedding dress today!!! hehehee, yeah I know I'm totally nuts. jiggy.gif

I had a hard time finding a dress I was interested in, but am headed to a huge maggie sottero retailer in downtown LA today that apparently has "the dress" I've been eyeing for months now. If that doesn't work out, there's another dress I tried on at another bridal shop last week that I loved too. So big decisions to be made today rolleyes.gif

Good lord, why did I wait so long? confused.gif

These are the things I still have to do:

-decide on music for ceremony

-decide whether to have a dj or use ipod for reception

-think of how I want to have the sweetheart table decorated

-find a rehearsal dinner location and time - which should be easy b/c its going to be on the resort

-make menus - we know what we're eating; just need to put it on paper

-find and purchase dress for TTD

-make ceremony program. I'm dreading this b/c I just don't know what I'm doing

-purchase jewelry for myself & bridesmaids - I know what I'm buying; just need to buy it

-purchase sandframe - I don't know what I'm waiting on. lol

-I really want to get the fire dancers to perform during/after our rehearsal dinner...working on this.

-Order travel mugs and OOT bags. Cant do this til after my RSVP date 4/1/09

-Purchase guest book. I really want to use a photo mat.

I think that's it for now. I have a lot of details I'm working on right now. All the big things have been completed.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
