Do they make you wear bracelets like some all-inclusives do?  I'm guessing yes because they have to differentiate between kids and adults for drinking age.  So if they DO make you wear them...do they let you cut it off for your wedding day and give you a new one?  I really, really don't want a resort bracelet as an accessory on my wedding day!  :)

Yes they allow you to cut it off for your wedding day and your resort planner is responsible for keeping it safe so you can request a new one.

BUT...don't forget to take off any pony tail holders on your wedding day because my SIL got her bracelet cut off but forgot about her pony tail holder :(  We had to do a lot of editing of the photos for that one :)

i figured that is what they do.  Do they allow everyone in the wedding party to have theirs removed?  That would look kind of tacky in all of the pictures if they did not.

Whoops, that sounds like something I would do! I always wear a pony tail holder!

Hey dolls

I'm new to this site and am looking help on deciding wether to go to cancun palace or beach palace?

I had originally booked my 2 weeks for le blanc and was getting married there, that was when it was just my fiance and I on our own, but now my parents, brother, his wife and my nephew who is 3 have decided to go so we are changin our 1st week to a childrens palace resort and I can't decide!!.. I was swaying towards cancun palace as it is bigger and seem there is more in the way of kids stuff for my nephew. However I love the moderness of the beach palace and also the sky terrace setting for the ceremony. Help!!????..

Also in the way of wedding day pictures I was going to use some of my resort credit for these but am scared of them not being that nicely done. I want good pictures of my day!. Any suggestions of other photographers??

Also suggestions for getting make up done on the day would be great? ...

If any of you have pics of your weddings at either beach palace or cancun palace I would love to see them. If you don't mind showing me that is??

Thanks

Lisa

Hi ladies!

I hope everyone's planning is going well.  Quick question for those who are either already married, or much closer than we are to their wedding.  I am a little concerned...we are only 55 days out from the wedding, and still have not heard anything from the on-site WP.  My TA swears this is normal, though they say they will contact you 3 months prior even if it's just to touch base.  So my question is, when did you hear from the on-site WP?  Should I email them?  I know there are plenty more weddings scheduled before ours, but...not THAT many that I would think they're super busy.  I know everyone says to just relax and that it will all come together...but I think we're supposed to give them our final count in like 10 days so it just makes me a little worried.  Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!

Cancun911-- I also had Lauren as a planner and she was incredibly horrible about replying. She in fact did not reply to me for more than a month and I had to email Yesenia and ask her to have Lauren reply to me.

I wish I could say that once my wedding got closer I have a had a better experience-- however, lately they have been really annoying me! I get married next week and they did not think to explain that this whole time they have been recommending the Sky Terrace for my reception and telling me that its the better place to have it for my group size that it has been BOOKED for all but ONE hour that night since supposedly October 2010. My wedding is at 6pm, so there is really not much of an option for when the reception would be, so I dont think they handled this properly. When I was upset about this--  I emailed my onsite WC who didnt reply-- then I emailed her supervisor Gabriella and she basically told me to take a flying leap and they did nothing wrong. I get the impression they will tell you whatever you want to hear up until 1 week or so away then hit you with the reality of your situation. Additionally, my first onsite WC approved me having an outside DJ for only the guest pass fees, but now my new WC is trying to charge me some "displacement" fee. And the previous WC sent me a listing of all the prices for musicians, etc during the ceremony -- the fee was on there as $355.00 per hour, and now they are trying to charge me $450!!!!  I am not happy.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
