Thanks all you ladies I have been researching the Forum for all my wedding needs and I have booked a few vendors now! Thanks

Here it goes

Location Dreams resort

Ceremony- Beach

Reception- El Dorado ball room

Photographer - Gilda Badillo

Dj- Joaquin Virgillo

All I am missing I believe is the rental for furniture, I am wanting to rent lounge furniture, iron chairs, linen, and tall clear vases for my arrangements. I need to get a hold of the priest. I am having two ceremonies at the church and beach.

I think thats all if I am forgetting something pls remind me I am going crazy with this wedding.smile105.gif

I gave myself over a year, so the planning is going smoothly. So far I have

Booked EDR(July9th)

Hired travel Agent Jennifer from the forum

Made wedding website at Mywedding.com

Created Save the Date e-mail with the website info (so people already have access to the info and I can take my sweet time designing the actual invitation)

Hired Photographer Fer Juaristi from Monterrey MX (he's the coolest!)

Having my dress made

Asked my friend from church to be the officiant

Booked the trip for me, my FI, and FI's family

bugged every guests to come!

Oh my gosh you guys are scaring me. I keep saying I have more than six months what is the rush. I guess I need to get a dress. I'll lose the weight later. I have the date, place and time, and have sent out my STD's, but that is about it. I did just e-mail my wedding coordinator yesterday to find out about the time and location of our reception. Of course I have not heard back yet. My FI still needs a passport. I'm rolling now.

  • 2 weeks later...

I bought my dress last weekend. I was the the sample of a discontinued style and amazingly enough it fit perfectly. I was able to get a smokin deal on it! I was so excited that I told my BMs that I didn't care what the BM dresses looked like, as long as they were the right color - big mistake! The 2 that were with me want something totally different than what I want! Errr doh.gif Luckily I have 2 more that are on the same page as I am.

My save the dates are ready to go out and will be mailed on Monday!

I am starting my DIY invites this week!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
