I guess I should mention my reasoning is because I will not need hair and make up as my best friend does both and she is coming. I am also trying to a little low budget, so the room upgrade is not that important to me. I'm not exactly sure which room we are going with anyways at this point!!!

Hola Shay,

Our most recent RIU couples have opted for either the Theater Bar or the Beach Area in front of the Chilli's restaurant. We really loved the beach location for a private cocktail hour but I have heard the lobby bar is also very popular.

Here are a few pictures to help you envision your day:

I talked to my FI about how he got the cigar roller and he said that he contacted the resort and he told them that he wanted to add a cigar roller and Nancy replied back and said that the cigar roller is on site. A month before the wedding call the resort and let them know and they will notify the cigar roller. From what he said the price is per cigar depending on the type of tobacco or you can give them a limit and after they will stop rolling and leave. He also said that they will have some pre-rolled cigars when the cocktail hour begin. Hope this helps and sorry so late.

ladies what were you thinking of your first dance, at the cocktail hour or reception? Both FI and I are salsa dancers so we want to start with a slow dance and end up doing a salsa dance towards the end. I was trying to get an idea how this would work out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
