@Janjin
I am having a smores bonfire at my welcome party.
The price they quoted me for 70-80 guests were $1350. That includes the open bar as well. I am having it for 2hours.
Sorry but I don't have answers to your other questions, still trying to find those out too

Carrie

I was married on the Sky Deck and had my reception in the Grand Ballroom on June 6, 2014. It was fairly windy and at one point, I thought my veil was going to fly away. My sister (maid of honor) stepped up close behind and held it down. None of the hurst noticed but told me later they were grateful for the breeze since it was very hot and humid. The day before the wedding we changed the reception from Plaza Zavas to the Grand Ballroom. It had been raining and was very hot and humid. There was also rain in the forecast so we decided not to take a chance. We were very happy with our decision. The wedding coordinators took all of my decoration and moved it to the Ballroom. They strung the lights and lanterns from the ceiling and it was beautiful. Plus, we had a truly private space in a cool, air conditioned room. My guests danced and danced some more. They said it was the best party ever. Here are a few photos of the ballroom plus one of us during the ceremony.

I love the photo of you and your husband on the sky deck! Do you mind me asking who your photographer was? I am so back and forth about photography given that Azul only lets you choose from two without a vendor fee!

Just got back from our 10-day trip and thought I would post this...  We were married Feb 14th at Azul Sensatori and here is some info that will hopefully help other brides :)

The resort was beautiful - perfect for couples or families. Lots of bars and also children areas. Food and booze were great. Service was a step up from most resorts - definitely top notch. Beach had seaweed when water was rough, but awesome pools made up for it.

I used Dean Sanderson for photography and paid the $800 outside vendor fee. He was great and I can't wait to get the pics back. Wedding coordinators onsite were very detail oriented. The ladies made my day perfect.

I had my ceremony on the beach by the pier. It was quite windy so had my hair up. No seaweed that day on the beach :)  Reception was at Plaza Zavaz gazebo for 60 people. Ordered the BBQ deluxe and it was really good - had something for everyone. I ordered the $60 large cake in strawberry and it was really good. People even ate it! Easy to coordinate for guests compared to plated. Brought my own lights for gazebo. Had small flower centerpieces and rented a teal color table runner. It gets pretty much dark at 7pm, so I didn't feel I needed to go overboard with the expensive Lomas decor.

Used mega DJ and he stuck to my song list and also took requests. Had the dance floor full all night! I would recommend him for the $1000. We had our own MC.

I used Styling Trio for my hair and makeup. Went to their studio and was very happy with my final look. This was coordinated last minute in a panic as the hair/make trial at Azul spa was very disappointing. My hair did not look like the pic I brought and makeup was nothing special. Definitely not wedding makeup. I could do my own better. Also language barrier made it hard to enjoy the experience at the spa and communicate the changes I wanted.

After the reception we all went to the Mojito lounge and partied the night away. Every thing was perfect.

Thank you for this! It's really helpful! $60 large cake? Where did you find that at? I have been baffled at their prices for cakes!

Hi everyone! I love reading everyone's advice/tips/suggestions! It really is so helpful!

Has anyone used the Kids Camp that Azul offers for their children or family? We have a handful of kids attending and just wondering about the camp?

Also as far as dinner goes we are doing the Petite Gourmet but do they offer something different for children?

Thanks ladies!

    Hi Ladies,

    I am getting married at Azul Sensatori in June and have signed up for the Brides Dress Rehearsal for March but have been told there are no rooms left at Azul so I will be staying at El Dorado.  Did this happen to anyone else? I'm wondering if it's still worth going since I won't be spending as much time at Azul. Thoughts?

    Thanks!

    @kmccabe14
    Finally I know someone going in March!
    I'm staying at Azul sensatori but signed up in October or November for the January but was moved to the march since January was already sold out. That's how I got sensatori. All I can say is from what other girls have said that it has been worth it but maybe the Azul sensatori in April is not sold out. I would advise checking it out,

    @ShannonLeAnn There were a bunch of desserts included in the BBQ deluxe so I wasn't worried about size.  I wanted a small cake that I could use for my cake topper for pictures.  The estimate of 6-10 sounds accurate.  By the time cake is served people had had drinks and dinner. There was just 1 piece of cake left at the end of the night.  There were quite a few desserts left as well with 60 people eating. Hope this helps!
