Thank you for sharing the latest news on the mojito bar. I had no idea that they moved all the live music/ DJ to the teen room and I also have my guest going to the mojito bar after the reception. Thank you!! I will have to make some changes to the itinerary. Question- Do they have a bar set-up in the teen breeze room? I am glad you still had a great time.

HI all!

Sorry I have not been able to keep up with the thread lately. I have been powering through my passport invitations since I picked up my computer from being repaired and haven't looked up since.

Since I have been MIA much excitement has happened.

@@Ydolem thank you for sharing your review and your photos. Great tips on where to take photos plus your reception setup was stunning. I was there for my BdR during your wedding weekend and your setup looked stunning.

@@linaco80 congrats on the marriage, time flew by I remember talking to you when it was 3 months before your wedding. Big congrats, very happy for you. Also I caught your wedding on the webcam! Loved the ceremony:)

Also to those that have upcoming weddings, so excited for you and I am sending best wishes and enjoy your time down there.

@@HolaAmigos I believe you posted back a week or so ago about the food and setting thes up decor. @linaco said it perfect that the food is by personal preference. Some brides here have said they go with the buffets because there are more options and some say they want that sit down dinner. If you have more than 30 people in your group you get to choose two different entrees plus you automatically get a vegetarian dish, so you are really getting three options. If you have less thean 30 people then you choose one entree plus you get a vegetarian. I will say the buffet does have quite a few options within each tho.

I am going with the Pick and choose and picking two surf and turf options.

Hi gals! We are getting married at Azul Sensatori in September.

We are on a super tight budget so I am going crazy trying to find ways to cut costs at Sensatori. The prices they charge for the add-ons  are outrageous!

I have a million questions but I'd like to start asking what you have done for centerpieces and decorations! I am concerned about  how heavy they will be and customs restrictions.

I am also worried about the bouquets.

Any ideas or pictures to share?

These are my $10 center pieces. I went to dollar tree and used bowls and glued them to a candlestick (using e6,000 glue), I hot glued on white petals from dollar tree. The plate and stand were 99 cent store I painted over some cheesy saying and I'll paint the table numbers on. The most expensive was my vintage cordial glass, I bought them at three dollars a piece from an eBay auction, I'm in love with them. It will be annoying to lug it down there but if you give a couple friends a carry on you can split it up and customs/weight won't be an issue.

I used Pinterest as a reference and I handmade the flowers for my bouquet and hot glue them onto a Styrofoam ball, and added my grandmothers vintage earrings and some rhinestone brooches. For the bridesmaids bouquets I used some flowers from dollar tree and trimmed down the stems and added ivory colored ribbon, they turned out well for only costing a couple bucks each. post-282822-0-37768300-1429835900_thumb.jpgpost-282822-0-55960000-1429835706_thumb.jpg

Yes :) They have a full bar, imagine this place: it looks like a sports bar (with a bar serving drinks) and it has a pool table, hockey table, basket ball hoop machine, TV's and chairs so it is a decent size for this place. It is the teens game room during the day and at night it is the "club" the name of this place at Azul Sensatori is "Teens Breeze" and it is open until 2am every day!"

@@carrieandsam Thank you very much!!!

I dont think it was my ceremony LOL I did not have it at the sky deck :) it was on the beach..I trully need to upload pics VERY SOON!! you are right! time flies and I cant believe I dont have a wedding to plan any longer.

I was going super crazy...I mean super! I was just cleaning today and found an envelope with $170 in cash from the bank inside of a drawer LOL WOW that is scary!! I was crying for money while planning the wedding and leaving the cash like that inside a drawer...I must have forgotten about it with all the craziness  :(

Food: Yes, it is a personal choice :)  the painful part of choosing the more than 2 options once you get more than 30 ppl is to specify who eats what on a sitting card, I chose lobster and filet mignon BUT many of my guests did not eat shellfish so I made a lobster sign as "do not serve" then I made a list of each table referencing who ate what which matched my cards...pretty stressful to be honest.

ONE THING TO REMEMBER: the pier is not open as of now, so if  you planned to take photos on it...please have a back up ...there is a villa close by where we took pictures...I cant wait for those!

There is a bar called "waves lounge" located by the adults only pool, they bring piano and live music almost every night...go there with your hubby and enjoy a romantic time alone

My catamaran was the BEST thing we ever did (it was complimentary except the food and drinks)

Le Chique (super fancy for me) it was included with out honeymoon suite so we did not pay the $25 each, it was so fancy :) and beautiful, gazebo #5 is the ONLY place where you make reservations for that restaurant, go as soon as you get there because it gets booked super quickly. It is $25 for the tasting menu and $110 to sit with the chef by the bar or something like that. We did not pay the $25 each and wanted to cancel last minute because came super tired from the catamaran, however they would charge us $25 each if we did not go (cancelled)...so we ended not cancelling dinner at LeChique..it was wonderful!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
