I need to contact the D.J and photographer with different pieces of information and I can't get a response either. I just send her information and hope she recieves it. I know they do this all the time so  I'm trying to use the "blind faith" method of thinking....But still I have no idea where I am as far as costs etc... I am equally frustrated!!

Congrats on your day being so close!! That would be frustrating and I am sure it happens with most destination brides. I think the WC just assume all the last minute details will be finalized during your meeting when you get there. But I feel ya, its hard to let go and put your faith in someone to get things done that you have never even met! It will all work out and you will have your dream wedding:)

I certainly concur with Mike ....the Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe is an excellent choice for your wedding location! Wedding co-ordinator, Claudia Vaquez is worth her weight in gold, and you can relax when she's looking after your details......wishing everyone happy planning and an exceptionally perfect wedding day ahead.......Cheers !

I finally heard back from Victoria, she has changed her mind apparently as she first said I only had to pay the outside vendor fee once for my videographer and photographer and she has now said I have to pay the $500 for each vendor I have come in OR pay for 2 nights for each vendor.

For any of you booking your photographer nights at the hotel it is Happy Days at the mybarcelo site if you sign up (its free) you can book them in right on the site. We are having both our photographer and his assistant as well as the videographer and his assistant stay two nights in separate rooms and the total was just under $600 for both rooms together so we are actually saving $400 by having them stay the nights instead of paying the resort for them to be there.

Eeeeek we will be in Mexico in all our wedded bliss two months from today!

Do you know if they are putting the palapa back? Im getting married in May and I hope it will be back by then.

I am trying not to stress out over little things. However I'm feeling a little stressed and overwhelmed

We are getting married on April 29/2013.

Our flights are booked and our date has been confirmed.

However I haven't heard back from the WC since August 28th. When she told me she would be in touch within a few days to start planning.

I understand they are EXTREAMLY busy so I am trying to get as many details on here as possible ( thanks to everyone for posting its been really helpful with a lot of my decisions )

My main concern is that we fly in on Friday and get married on Monday and Jacqueline has already told my fiance via the phone that we will only have one meeting to get everything orgainzed. So I want to go in preparded with as many details as possible.

My fiance told me to relax and wait for her to write me. What do you guys think?

Did anyone get following e-mail from Claudia?:

Hi,

There are some new policies about spa reservations, please contact the spa and let them know what services you need for you and your wedding party. As soon as you receive an answer, please send me the confirmation number to update the planning.

[email protected]

So per another new Barcelo policy , bride should figure out herself what time to make reservations for spa on the wedding day.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
