I too am getting married on the beach. Could you post or send me the e-mail you got with the different beach options? I'm really interested in seeing what MP can do.

Wow!! You are correct! They have really changed. I would check with your TA or Moon Palace contact to find out. I signed a contract for the Deluxe wedding and my package is much cheaper with many extras compared to now! I am glad I booked it when I did!

Hi Ladies-

Can anyone tell me if we do need to complete the Apostille Document. I have read a couple of times that we don't and I just want to be sure.

Also, I see that the Moon Palace has changed their packages. Does anyone know if this applies to people that already signed a wedding contract or to people who are going to be signing a contract. My TA has not had me commit to any package we just signed the wedding contract and this makes me nervous.

Thanks

My WC told me that we didn't need an Apostille for birth certificates but you still do for divorce decrees.
As for the packages. If you have already signed a contract you should be okay. If you haven't signed yet talk to your TA...

We were really pleased with our pictures and flowers. The Moon Palace photographer did a great job, and the Moon Palace has beautiful flowers to choose from.

Jodymichelle: we didn't have quite as much time as you to plan. But that just means you have lots of time to pick out wedding dress and shoes, bridesmaids dresses, work on invitations, save the date cards etc. And this forum is great, you should get lots of good ideas from here. I didn't find this forum until less than a month before we left.

I thought I attached the menus in a previous post But here it is again.

Good luck! :)

Sarah
Sarah - Thanks for the menus!!!! :)

Sarah and Richard, is that the menu for the cocktail receptionshuh.gif
Is there an example online anywhere of the spanish books you were referring to? I was thinking of getting them myself!! I was all ready to purchase stuff for the OOT bags, and then stopped since so many people were no longer sure if they were coming. Our flight prices continue to go down, down, down. I'm wondering if it makes sense to cancel our original flight, take a hit for the penalty, and then rebook...

On a positive note....my dress is in!!! I have an appointment at 3:00 to go try it on. I can't wait!!! :) Now my FI just needs to figure out WHAT he is wearing! cheesy.gif

I have a TA question for ya'll. I have had the hardest time with e-mail correspondence with my TA lately. I used the TA banner up top of BDW, and one of the TA's from this website gave her my information, so I assumed she's good. After she made her first contact, she wasn't in touch with me again for over a week, which wasn't a big deal since I hadn't figured out what I was doing, and I just figured I'd have to find a different TA since she didn't respond to my e-mails. Well then she finally did contact me and apologized that she'd been out of the office for a week. So time goes by, she's been great with e-mail with correspondence, and we decide on MP. She tells me she'll confirm our wedding date with MP. And then I don't hear from her for two weeks. So I got frustrated and called her on a Monday. She thanked me for being patient, hadn't confirmed my wedding date yet, and said she'd been out for a week because of family issues. She did say she'd contact me within the next couple days. Never heard from her and another week went by. I e-mailed her again. Another week has gone by with nothing. Before when I e-mailed her, she'd respond within 24 hours, so I assumed this was a great way of communicating. I am frustrated because at this point, I don't know if our wedding date has been confirmed even though I told her over a month ago which day & time we want. I'm a pretty laid back person and do understand having family emergencies, etc., but I have never used a TA before and have no idea if this is normal. She has assured me though that we'll be able to get group rates between $350-$400 per room, so I do not want to have to search for another TA and possibly start all over again finding a resort that my guests can afford. Any suggestions? I do plan to call her again Tuesday evening if I don't get a response.

Hi Leogurl- I'm so sorry that you're having such a hard time with this. Personally, I am using TA Jill from BDW and she's really awesome. I first contacted her in November and she has always answered my 30+ e-mails within 24 hours. I don't know if you definitely want to switch TAs at this point, but I highly recommend her. Also, you can always book your wedding date directly with Moon Palace if you already know what you want and you don't want to wait any longer. I hope this helps- keep us updated!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
