Hi All,

I leave on Fri for my wedding on Mon at MP. Lots of little details still to sort out--could barely sleep last night! But my question is about the airport transfer. I'm told it's $23 per person RT, but for a family of 5 that adds up and a cab would be cheaper. A friend of mine said that coming out of the airport is a bit chaotic and it's eaiser/safer to have the hotel transfer set up. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Congratulations and good luck! I'm sure the wedding will go perfectly. You should be fine taking a taxi. There should be a lot of them outside along with the hotel vans. And just as an FYI - There will also be a lot of people ready and waiting to help you with your luggage but just know that they are expecting a tip of course. They can be very pushy and just about take the luggage out of your hand to put on their cart. Other than that you'll have a great time so don't worry about anything :)

Hmm...my TA worked the airport transfer into the nightly rate...so I have no idea how which would be better! I bet a taxi would be fine though, for those comfortable doing that. I know some people who don't travel a lot may want the knowledge that someone will be there waiting for them though to make them feel more secure.

I guess it's just up to your guests! Good luck!!

Anndddd...in a second post...

Okay, I'm not really sure what to do about this.

Four weeks ago, I was assigned an on site WC. I emailed her several times, and never got a response. Finally last Tuesday, I called the Moon Palace, only to find out she's been on vacation and won't be back for at least another two or three weeks. I left my contact information and questions with the woman on the phone, and she said someone would contact me shortly.

No one has called or emailed me. It's now been another week. I'm getting really mad, and I'm beginning to wonder if maybe I should switch resorts if this is how it's going to be the whole time. If I can't get answers to my questions about really important things like my apostille documents, how am I going to get an answer to littler questions about receptions and all that??

I'm not really sure what to do...should I call again and complain? I don't want to be a bridezilla. I just really want SOMEONE....ANYONE...to answer my questions!!!!

Have you tried contacting your Sales Coordinator in Miami?
Or sending a message to your WC immediate supervisor? In her absence, you should be able to contact the supervisor, express your frustrations, and get some answers. No need to go all out and change venues, especially if any of your guests have already begun booking.
Also, have you tried sending an email to another coordinator at the resort? I did that (not knowing who my assigned one was) and the gal I contacted offered to adopt me into her case load.

Hi all,

For those of you still waiting to hear about what the cost of lighting is for outside receptions, the cost is $150.00 in addition to the DJ/music equipment. HOWEVER, the outside area DOES have lighting, the additional lighting is if you want light directed towards the dance floor etc...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
