I see that you guys are used the same booklet we will be using =) How long did you ceremony last for? 6. nice! I'm looking for a thread with people posting their playlist and i can't find it anymore! i wanted to browse through it since FI and i are creating ours as we speak... any one know what happened to that thread??
  7. thanks ladies!!! i gotta admit that the dress is a bit extravagant for a TTD, but i'm going for the whole dramatic princess in an enchanted forrest look... if that makes sense! ahaha.. why not... you only get married once! if the dress doesnt end up being trashed all the way, i am planning on leaving the dress in Mexico and donating it. that way someone else could be a princess on their wedding day without spending all the $. =)

I also saw other posts regarding wedding favor prices... I HAVE THEM! It was sent to me by my WC Nancy. I will post them here when i get back from my meeting. i'm on lunch at work and i'll sneak a post in a little bit =) planning a wedding is already a full-time job... on top of anotehr full-time job! i'm pooped!!!

So that's only $300 for 1 extra hour for 40 guest. My wedding is at 6pm so we will only need 1hr because the resort ends out door functions at 10 10:30ish,so that's all will need. After I read your mail I spoke with Nancy so she gave me the cost for the dancers over the phone. We also disgusted a few more details but I told her How much I trust her and some things can wait until I arrive. I'm going to land in cancun on Apirl 23 at noon. The resort had put the free shuttle vouchers in our contract so the shuttle will meet us and my guest when ever they arrive at the airport. I was talking about the slide show i was doing a few threads ago but because my reception is outside they don't set the slidshow up outside. Then I was going to do it at the rehersal dinner Nacny and I talked on the phone about it But i would have to have my dinner in one of the reception halls in order to show the slideshow. If I get 75 room nites then I'll do that because it's free, But for now our slideshow is going to be on the table as favors for each guest. We made sure to include everyone in the Family & Friends section so they will enjoy it. I booked our rehersal dinner in the brizilian resturant it has an out door terrace area the Nancy says is just beautiful and private so we don't have to sit with the other vactioners while we dine.Cool. Well good luck honey your going to look beautiful. I would like to post some pick so you can see me also, what's the secret on that? Oh and let me know when the big day is. Best Wishes God Bless Katt. Hi Katt! You and I will be in MP at the same time for both of our weddings! Mine will be on April 24th at the Chapel Gazebo. Feel free to stop by if you want a look. I will be in Cancun until the 28th =) Nancy is great isnt she? I'm glad to hear all is well with your planning. 1 month to go! gosh... nervous and excited! =) i'll post more info for MP brides as they are needed.

Our photographer who took our engagement photos is Cooper Carras and he is based in San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Unfortunately he is not going to Cancun with us. MP is flexible with outside photographers as long as they are part of the wedding party. Cooper Carras does a lot of destination wedding. if you are interested, here's his website: Destination wedding photographer - Cooper Carras. highly recommended and so easy to work with! he takes fab pictures! =) good luck!
  11. don't feel so bad about your gorgeous dress!!!!! i'm sure it was absoloutely worth it on your big day. it was a major investment but atleast you have a fabulous memory that will last a lifetime. Your pictures and videos will always be your keepsake of everything wedding related. You may not have your dress but you will always have the memory of you feeling and looking beautiful in it! =)
  12. very nice!!! I love the luggage tags!!! I have been searching so many sites to get cheap ones. Now I know i could just order them as business cards! Yay!!! Where do I find cheap plastic clear sleeves
  13. FI and I just ordered the wedding favors and OOT Bags are next on our list! I will be back consulting this thread real soon! Thanks again!!! =)
  14. Hi Katt, Here's the information on the live performances: Price $1,215.00 USD P/ 45 minutes show •Mexican Folkloric Ballet with live Mariachi (8pax) (No sound system or lighting) Price $3,120.00 USD P/45 minutes show •Folkloric Mayan Ballet (Includes live drums and flaute – prehispanic style music) / (Lighting is not included) 12 pplPrice $1,850.00 USD P/45 minutes show I worked with Nancy to get the performance time down to 30 minutes for timing purposes. We have the free reception too. I am still trying to get the 75 room nights though. I am not that far away, but i dont think I will make it =( it sucks cause if 2 of my family members didnt book with Orbitz and Expedia, we would make it for sure. For the free private function, you actually only get 2 hours of the reception. anything beyond that is $60 per table, per hour. I confirmed this with my WC in Miami. Make sure you include the extra horus in your budget so you won't get any surprises. We're getting the DJ too! Package 1 with the video slideshow. Nancy and I were doing a lot of e-mail exchanges last week and she told me that she would be extremelt busy this week. I am not expecting an e-mail from her since she's probablt working on other brides right now. Your day is almost here as well! Hang in there and best of luck =)
  15. It's been a while since I've read Moon Palace Reviews. Have any of you read new ones lately?
  16. March 1! Only a few more weeks until our wedding! Here's our outstanding list of to do: - Order wedding favors---doing this tonight - Get OOT bags and items - Finalize list of songs for CD - Finalize playlist for reception - Confirm new time change with DJ, adding extra hour - Pick menu for reception dinner - Do the reception program - Print the reception program - Print the Ceremony program - Finalize the ceremony program and send it to our priest in Cancun - Pick the songs for the ceremony - Finalize plans between the Classical Duet or Classical Trio - Get fitted for my wedding dress - Get shoes - Buy bridal tiara and jewelry - Pick bridal perfume - Do a hair style test - Bridal makeup trial - Start packing for wedding and honeymoon - Order cake topper, flower girl basket, ring bearer pillow, and candles. Good thing is that most of the list could be purchased within 1 day. Some are also handled by our WC in Cancun. Bad news is that that's still a lot of stuff to do and that more money is needed ON TOP of what we already have been paying for. =( whew!
  17. hi ladies! it's been over a month since i've logged on here. it's officially march and our wedding is NEXT MONTH! whew!!! time flew by soooo fast!!! we are almost done with the planning. we are just finalizing the reception and OOT bags and favors. We have been sooo lucky to be assigned to Nancy Ariza as our wedding planner. Maribel was our onsite WC prior to that and she was fantastic. It was sad when we received her farewell e-mail. Nancy has been top-notch! We decided to get the Mayan Ballet for our reception. we are so excited to have this performance at our wedding! Nancy also showed us some favors that Moon Palace could provide to eliminate having to bring the favors all the way to Cancun. They have some nice stuff for cheap. You guys should consider it if you dont want the hassle of transporting everything to Cancun. The only thing we are worried about right now is getting the unlimited functions on our contract. we are so close!!! unfortunatelt we have 2 memsbers of our party that booked with Expedia and Orbitz instead of our group rate. This really hurt our chance of getting the unlimited functions. i will be begging my WC to help us make these count. Right now we have enough room nights paid for the free reception. we want the free cocktail hour too since. i have been in contacts with teh new priest, Father Benito. he is very responsive to e-mails and has been so pleasant to work with. wish me luck! i will be posting some pictures of my progress real soon. =)
  18. i wish i could help but i am having a catholic wedding and the song sequence are different. from what i have read so far it seems that the main songs are for the: bridal entrance, signing the documents, and exiting the gazebo. 3 out of 4... i hope you get better answers!

I am working closely with Nancy Ariza who was assigned to me just a few weeks ago, and I asked her the same thing. You can rent a bus for $75 to transport all your guests at once from Ceremony to Reception. If you don't choose that route, they would have to walk or hail a golf cart individually. This is the reason why i have a 30 minute "walking" time from the cocktail hour to the reception. Nancy suggested you have walking time to make sure everyone is at the reception site at the same time.
  20. i have a 4pm ceremony and will be doing HDs. Food is always a treat to wedding guests =)
  21. i received confirmation yesterday that the WC who we'll be meeting with and assisting us on the day of the wedding is NANCY ARIZA. I have seen her name mention here and other threads in BDW a whole lot so i am soo excited. i'm trying to find more reviews of her though...especially recent ones. has anyone worked with her lately? how helpful was she in person? and was she able to grant your wishes..meaning...making things happen?? thanks in advanve i could use some advice! =)
  22. Hi Camie, Thansk for the update! We're having a Catholic ceremony in April and we thought we'd have Father Gourard. I hope the new priest will know all the scoop for the wedding. I'm wondering if the resort will "train" him.... We just completed our Catholic requirements and our local priest has just finished all the documents and theyre all addressed to Father Gourard. We're supposed to pick up the docs tomorrow! What to do
  23. happy 2009, ladies! i have not been here in a month! i'm so worried about the make-up situation. is the salon bridal makeup really that horrendous
