Thanks for that - that's great to know. Since I believe most of our guests (excluding a couple) don't speak Spanish they probably won't really know - lol. We just want to have a short poem read by our friend. I guess after the official ceremony, she can do the reading & then we can say our vows and then that's it! Thanks again Miriam :)

What email did you use? I emailed our request (just 3 dinners over our 14-night stay) to [email protected] about 5 days ago and haven't heard anything back. Does this also work at a very slow pace?

Yes this is the one, they can also me slow too,   Mexicans are soooooo laid back - me I'm so impatient LOL

@Futuremrswarner - congrats on the wedding! The GBP property is awesome I really love it there, and everyone is very nice, great service. Just make sure you check with your onsite Wedding Coordinator to see how much they will charge you to bring in an outside vendor, last time I checked it was around $300USD just to bring them into the resort!

Cheers and good luck =)

Thats what I did I had a page that I just kept adding things too  - gee it was a long list - then fired it off to her.  When she did reply she didnt answer all my questions so hopefully she replies with the rest of the answers soon.

I have faith in everything working out :)

Yeah, I'm not too worried abot that, because pretty much all the brides that come back from GBP have great things to say about their wedding. I know the WCs will do a great job with everything.

Regarding getting a WC assigned to you.. Paloma told me that we would have to provide her with our booking number prior to her assigning a wedding coordinator to plan the details. We have had numerous issues come up with invites and had to start from scratch therefore it's setting us back time wise. Does anyone know if my FI and I book, does that booking number qualify or does it have to be for our whole group? With the delay with invites, we decided to leave it up to our guests to book on their own as they have several departure cities available to them as well as overlapping dates and our group quote is actually substantially higher than online individual pricing at the moment.

Thanks ladies!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
