I don't think it'll be as crazy as the weekends, but I definitely don't think it'll be dead.

Hello all! I know this may seem a little strange, but does anyone know of anything that will keep moquitos away? You see I'm Asian and for some unknown reason they love me and my family/friends. I've tried all kinds of bug spray, ointments and even home remedies to treat my very swollen and red mosquito bites. I'm so scared I'll be all red and bumpy for my wedding day. I heard taking vitamin B supplements helps? But I've read so many things from google that I just don't know. :(

Hmm.  When i was there in April there were NO bugs.  And actually even in January I was fine.  The big thing is STAY OFF THE GRASS!  If you go on the grass or the beach at night, you're asking for bites.  So I would make sure to stay on the paths, at least until your wedding.  But in May hopefully you won't even have to worry about it.

thanks for the advice! my friend got married in January at Now Jade and she was fine too. I'm hoping the rain will stay away for early May so the mosquitos don't come out.

Iâ€m starting to feel the crunch of the wedding!  Good luck with your planning!!

We have 42 people coming. You? We're having a tough time getting everything organized via e-mail. Maria seems sweet, but her grasp of written English is poor. I'm trying to stay positive, but I keep having this overwhelming feeling the day isn't going to be at all what I envisioned it to be...

Oh no!  Don't fret!  Your wedding day is going to be AMAZING!!!

If you're doing something totally different, then maybe worry a little.  But if it's been done before, they know how to do it and they will take care of it all for you when you get there.  Just keep sending her your requests and keep a list of exactly what you want.

Try to stay positive and not stress.  I think that's the number one thing past brides say in their review.  It's hard not to freak out, but try and be as zen as possible.  It'll be great!!!

Hi ladies! I am getting married on Nov 30th 2012.  I have just started talking to my wedding coordinator, Paloma.  Does anyone else have her? Have they been having a good experience so far?

I also wanted to know if anyone has heard anything about the makeup artists?  I am not sure if I'd want to do it myself, I think I'm going to be a mess that day!

Happy Planning!

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I don't think we're doing anything too different, so hopefully it goes off without a hitch! This site has done wonders to ease my panic. Thank you again!

Wow, what a great number! We have 32 people coming.  Iâ€m having the same problem! We finally have everyone paid up so I†working on sending out brochures with general resort info, a basic timeline of events and some luggage tags.

Everything will be OK! Your wedding day will go off without a hitch!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
