Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Thanks! I'm still deciding if i want my lanterns to be on a string together or separate - not sure where they'll be able to hang them all
I've heard that 1 LED isn't enough to light up a 14" lantern so thats a dilemma too.
Thanks for the info

POOLSIDE COCKTAIL (2).JPGSo again I was sent another bad picture! It looks like the floating LEDs would be a good in the pool. I just can't tell where the lanterns would go. I was asking her about centerpiece glass (so I wouldn't have to travel with that stuff) to buy from the flower shop they are $20 a vase!!!

The lanterns that I bought come folded in the package...each one is flat and packaged in plastic.

I have been to the resort twice- so I know what the space/area looks like... I don't have pictures for you...

It is a large pool- so the area on one side of it has palapas around (lounge chairs are placed under them during the day); there is the White Sands Bar, the ground is concrete....there are bathrooms beyond the bar. The sand, and beach is beyond (behind the pool)/separated by trees/shrubs.

Hello - I am getting married January 18th at the Gran Bahia Principe but have noticed most pictures and comments are for Tulum, I am getting married at Akumal.  Does anyone have any pictures of their reception?  I was given the choice of either Dolce Vita or Frutos del Mar but there are no pictures available, has anyone had experience with either restaurant?  I tried to get the Brazillian restaurant in Tulum but it is fully booked...Also, once your dinner has wrapped up, where is the best spot to move the party?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!  Muchos Gracias!  (sorry if I posted this message in the wrong spot - brand new to this site and stressed so trying to post anywhere!) haha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
