A newbie still deciding on location (thinking DR)

Hello everyone!

 

My name is Ashli and I am going to marry Matt on March 27, 2009 (hopefully - that date is not set in stone yet). We are in the beginning stages of planning and actually nothing is set in stone yet.

 

We are thinking about Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Right now, Paradisus Punta Cana is our first choice and Majestic Colonial is also an option. The only problem - flights coming home are 95% red eyes. Does anyone know something I don't about that?

 

Also, we are open to other suggestions. We definately want an AI, in the Caribbean, and prefer places with Adult Only sections (there are no kids coming to the wedding). We are on a budget - no more than $3000 per couple for 4 nights.

There is a ton of info on locations to be found here!

 

In the Caribbean I know that the Couples and Sandals hotels are all AI and Adult Only. You can also look at some of the SuperClubs properties. They have a variety of properties and some of the cheaper ones do allow children, but only those over 14 or 16.

 

You might want to contact a travel agent (ther are several on the boards) for more recommendations.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
