Wedding is fast approaching and freaking out

Recommended Posts

I'm not till July yet I am freaking out and I am not the kind of person to stress out about things like weddings. I am not artsy or crafty and I suddenly feel that my wedding is lacking those special details which I do not have the genetic makeup to create. Then sometimes I just say screw it who really cares. It's in Cabo, people will have a good time. I can't imagine how much I would be stressing if it were this month. You are not alone. Even my FI is having nightmares.

I was feeling stressed out about 3 weeks ago. Now, i'm over it. I figure everything is as planned as it can be and I cannot hold everyone's hand to get stuff done. All the big things are done, no one will notice if some of the little things aren't perfect. I am focusing on enjoying the last bit of time of being a "Bride". :)

I was actually thinking about starting a thread like this. I am stress but mostly just about money. Then I am taking it out on my FI. Actually we are taking it out on each other. We hardly ever bicker or fight and in the last 3-4 weeks it seems one of us is annoyed at the other almost every day. Yesterday was a good day all day...no bickering at all. LOL We were in the process of refinancing our house and had it not worked out I would have had to go back to work after we got back from Jamaica. I have been staying home with our 2 year old sine she was born and I am totally not ready to go back yet. Then add all the wedding stuff and preparing for the trip, and not to mention the panic attack I have every time I think about leaving our daughter. We have older kids too but I am not too worried about them cause they are in 5th and 7th grade and understand what is going on. Riley will be in good hand with our families but it stilll makes me nervous! Now that everything has gone through with the house I have relaxed 100%. We are finishing up all our clothes shopping this weekend and then I think everything will be good to go! I have less than 2 weeks to go before we leave. It went from a year to months to weeks to almost days now. Time flew and I cannot wait to marry my best friend, bickering and all!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
