I would definitely tell the Photog you are not happy - you did not ask for these enhancements nor were you told. You should be getting the photos exactly as you proofed the. Just out of curioustiy, i am dying to see some - who is the Photog?

But, I still think if you don't like it you should get reprints.

I wouldn't want RAW images printed though. It's nice to have some photoshopping.
Ditto. Yeah, I was totally picturing snapfish style frames. Vingnette's can be pretty, but if it's not something you want, you should tell her!

You have to take the personal out of this. It is a business transaction. You paid for a service and did not get the product you expected to pay for. Would you have trouble saying something if your dress had been the wrong one or if the pizza guy delivered the wrong pizza?

As a business owner, I really appreciate constructive critisism. If you don't say something, it will fester and become a bigger problem. You don't want to think AGH! everytime you look at your wedding photos. And, things will happen like this posting. You aren't happy so you tell us, not the vendor. This kind of feedback will not only help you get what you want, but also help her in the future. She will know now to either edit the photos before posting them or to offer the effects as an option.

You don't have to be mean about it, just simply tell her you love her work and loved the proofs, but the printed product was not what you expected. Would she need to reprint all of them or just some?

I would definitely let her know how you're feeling and ask her to reprint them. Ultimately you're paying her for a service, and if she's not providing it to your liking, or editing it without prior consultation, then you have every right to ask her to reprint them. She's a professional so she shouldn't be offended. Don't feel bad at all, this is your wedding, your photos and you paid for it all.

  • 2 weeks later...

Pictures are the part of a wedding that you really want to be perfect, and like most people, probably took the biggest part out of your budget! Defo say something, it might make the photographer decide to ask future customers if they want the photo's raw or with effects in future!

Good Luck!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
