Veronica
I have ... I've decided on all of those things...I've submitted my requests to Micaela, but have not heard anything from her since before Christmas when she received my $300US deposit and receipt...so...I guess I don't know for sure I have what I've asked for.

Cake: Keeping standard cake look, selected Tres Leches for the cake itself
Ceremony: We're having a symbolic ceremony, and Ken, my FI, has written a beautiful ceremony script including something for the sand ceremony. We are each writing our own vows to be read after the minister has us say his, and we've both starting working on those, but are not done yet.
Location: Ceremony - Gazebo; Cocktails/Photos - Garden; Reception/Dance - Beach.

If I can help with anything...let me know!!!

My goodness Shay

You are so on top of it! I still have so much to do but the big question for me is how many guests are coming to the wedding. I am inviting about 150 and we are guessing about 70 are coming but thats where I am stuck. I don't want to order my fans, my starfish, chair bows, table stuff etc. until I have a better headcount and so many things we are planning on is budget related and therefore with no idea the headcount its tough. I can't make my oot bags yet because the budget will depend on the number of guests etc.!!! When does everyone else expect to have their final numbers in?

Did you guys reserve you DJ or does Zulma just do it for us? She sent me an e-mail saying that she reserves it for us 2 weeks in advance but is that what everyone else has done or did you call them directly? Did anyone else do colored chair bows? I want to do them in my aqua/teal color but haven't decided if I should bring them or if the hotel should get them. Its so funny because I am thinking my goodness I want to leave stuff behind and let other girls use if after my wedding but I don't think the hotel does that.

Thanks, yeah my bank didn't want that address but the destination Bank's address. I sent the payment through, but MY bank said they are not sure if it will be accepted since there was no address for the destination bank. They will find out in a few hours and I will give you guys an update tomorrow. I got charged $22.50 for this and another $22.50 for the church down payment. My bank is Scotiabank.

We never paid anything until we got down there, then we paid by cash and credit cards.. if you don't want to do the down payment, then I wouldn't worry about it. Whatever excel form they send you to fill out.. I would do that and send it back right away and make sure they receive it.

-By the way for small groups (10 or so) the gazebo is amazing as a reception location!

Hola!

First to all congratulations, let me xplain you my wife works as a wedding cordinator at Real Resorts she is based at The Royal In Cancun, the royal in playa is one of the best location in town, because you are near to the famous 5th avenue, and if your guest have kids they can stay at Gran Porto Real or Real Playa del Carmen.

The royal in playa - Adults Only (From 16 yo)

Gran Porto Real - All family welcome

Real Playa del Carmen - All family welcome

One of the most important things is that if you are staying at the royal you can use the facilities at any resort in playa del carmen or cancun with out extra charge.

If you need any help please let me know, probably I could help you, with some doubts!!

I was working at Real Resorts for 5 years, and now I have my own business, offering DJ Service and the best lighted dance floor, I am Ivan.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
