Anytime!  I guess she was talking about travel.  That's good to know. When did you start planning where your reception was and all of the details?  Is it too soon to speak with the WC about it now?  I've seen on other forums that you don't get a set one.  Pretty much everyone helps out.  If that is the case, then do they share all of your ideas with one another?

Thanks for your help & input.  I truly appreciate it!  My future sis-in-law is an event planner and is asking me all of these questions about decor and what's included in each package, priv reception and if liquor is included, etc.  It's driving me nuts! LOL

Hey Leticia,

I had my reception location confirmed probably about 8-9 months before our wedding - so it probably isn't too soon for you to confirm that with your WC. We didn't get into the details regarding the meal type and the cake until about 2 months before, but we already knew what we wanted.

I was passed to 3 different WCs throughout the year, but it seemed like they were all familiar with my file. The last WC I had was Gara (she was great by the way) and about 4 weeks before the wedding, she asked me to confirm all of the details of the wedding, from number of guests and wedding attendents, to who was walking me down the aisle.

One of my bridesmaids is an event planner as well, so I can relate to all the questions :)

Hey subbi,

We also got the Wedding in Paradise package and yes the honeymoon package was included.

Hey Jen,

Thanks for all of your tips!  They are very helpful.  Did you discuss your decor with them throughout your planning or when you arrived at the hotel?

No... I'm getting upset too because no one has contacted me in regards to my planning!  I spoke with Mercy 3 weeks ago and received my confirmation.  He gave me 2 emails for the coordinators and I have emailed both and no response.  Am I the only one having this problem?

Hello All

I just booked for May 11th 2012 and it was tough waiting for pricing, but we got it in the 1400's which is great!

Anyone dealing with the WC - Carolina?

Also wondering the website says you get a free wedding if you meet certain bedroom commitments, the basic wedding package ($900.00 value) but I am getting the Ultimate package so there must be some sort of amount off of my package since I am meeting the bedroom requirments no??

Did anyone just go with the package photographer? I was thinking of using HDC and not the hotel photographer!

Letluva you're certainly not the only o not receiving emails from the WCs. It is so furstrating I even called yesterday twice and still unable to speak to someone. They really need to do something about this. it's more than a month since I last communicated with Jennifer Castro. I keep sending new emails and only getting this automated response. ARGHH! am gonna go on a FB page a leave a message.

    • It depends on how far you can go, Can you go out of US for destination wedding, If yes then their are tons of options Ex. Bali,Thailand is becoming the new hot spot for destination weddings, Other one I would recommend is Rajasthan,India It might be expensive wedding but totally worth it the wedding takes place in palaces. If you don't have that much of budget still their are many options available such as Sicily,Italy - get the authentic wedding ceremony in Italy other one i would recommend is going to Spain their iconic scenery are perfect for a wedding. Thanks🙂
