You don't have enough for the free room? What happened, dropouts?
Kinda dropouts, yeah. Some people didn't get their booking in on time for the deposit to qualify for the group rate, some just weren't sure if they can go yet, etc. So, we didn't end up getting a room for free. sad.gif Also, to help my parents out I offered to pay for them too thinking we would be going for free so I had to keep my promise for that too!! So much money spent today....

Hey,
Just an FYI, I was looking last night on a website (got the name from here) and they had those twigs/sticks that had the LED lights, run off batteries and were placed as centerpieces in vases. They also had "strings" of them too that (on a different table) were strewn around... both looked really good, but the centrepiece ones were a little too tall for my liking. Hard to see each other ... but they were fairly inexpensive.
Are you guys bringing your own toole down too?
smile78.gif this pic is what I need to do to shut up on here tonight.... so many thoughts racing through my head right now. Maybe I need thisshots.gif to relax...going to get some wine now.

I'm sure they have different heights. They did look really pretty. I really need to start bookmarking when I find something I like.

When are you moving?

Hey, Girlies!! I saw that you all were talking about getting your room for freehuh.gif? How are you doing this? Or, what qualifies you for this? I haven't heard of that being an option before...I am assuming w/a group booking or something? Anyways, just curious b/c that would save a nice chunk of change if it was a possibility. Thank you!

Hey Autumn! My fiancee is actually playing hockey in Toledo tonight!! I wish I were there!! How the free room thing works (for me at least) is through my travel company they offer incentives for a certain number of guests booked on the trip; for us, its the 12th, 24th, 36th passenger, and so on. So FI and I are using the 12th and 24th for ourselves. This covers the cost of a deluxe room, so we still have to pay the preferred club honeymoon suite upgrade. So, if someone were to NOT upgrade their room to the honeymoon suite, they would only have to pay the taxes... I hope you understand me, that was a little long-winded! Hehe

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
