I am getting married on August 22, 2013 and just sent out my save the dates last Thursday but that was only because our guests kept asking about the infnormation for the destination, website, etc. but you have plenty of time to send them out! Don't feel rushed.

I found some information on DIY pom poms with cupcake wrappers and thought these were lovely so I wanted to share!

I am all over the place with my centerpieces but one idea I am seriously contemplating is buying a wine bottle for each table with personalized labels that include our names, date ad table number along with wine glasses turned upside down with a flower underneath each one and a candle on top and just decorate it with some shells or shimmery white netting, but who knows I might end up changing my mind.

I'm actually bringing everything with me from California. I have enlisted my fiance, parents and in-laws to help with an extra suitcase if needed. i just don't want to take the chance that things get lost of that my shipment doesn't arrive on time.

Thank you msvasq! and I am so looking forward to designing my own centerpieces! I have gotten sooo many ideas on pinterest and through Martha Steward's website and have been doing some research as far as where I could buy the items at a discounted price. Thanks so much for sharing the link to that blog, it is much appreciated! Also congrats on winning the destination photo giveaway contest! yay!

Hey Sister Brides!

So I don't have any pics to share yet (and I probably won't for a while), but I'm going DIY for our centerpieces too. This is my idea:  the main centerpiece is also going to serve as our table number. We're doing a seating chart because we're expecting around 100 people! Anywho, my FI and I are going to take a close-up pic (kinda like the cute ones u see for Save The Dates---kissing, smiling, looking at each other, silly faces, etc.) and for each pose we're going to hold up a number in the middle of a heart (just paper ones that I will make). When we print the pics, everything will be black and white or sepia and only the heart and number will be in color. I'm putting the picture in a cute frame (either plain, classy silver or clear plastic--the old school kind where u can put a pic on each side). So the framed pic will be in the center and we'll just do 2 simple votives with flameless (artificial) candles on both sides. Probably sprinkle some crystals/jewels or even seashells in between the items down the middle of the table. My main pet peeve at weddings is toooooo much clutter on the tables! I hate not having space on the table to put my drink, etc down because there is so much junk on the table! Hope this sparks a little inspiration for someone! thewave.gif

My guest favors are going to be little beach frames.  I was actually going to use them for the seating charts but my FI doesn't want us to do seating chart, so I will give them the frame as favors and also a shot glass that says "Love Travels" with a little picture of a suite case and of course our name and wedding date.
