Anybody using DJ Mannia for their wedding at Dreams Punta Cana? I heard that they do a great job. When I contacted that via email, they said to book through Dreams. Gara from Dreams is saying $520 for basic DJ service(no introductions, and the dj doesn't speak English) and $800 for a bilingual dj that does introductions and bring lights....

In previous posts, which I can't seem to find, I don't recall it costing this much.

If anybody has any info, let me know.

Question about invites. Anyone choose to do their own? After searching the web for a few days, I've realized how costly invites are. Any advice?

Hi, I'm a newbee as well. My wedding date is 7/30/13 at Dreams Punta Cana, I have so many questions. I still don't believe I'm planning a wedding without complete control. I'll be on pins and niddles until the morning after. I love this site its so much information.......

Question for 2013 brides getting pricing -

Our Travel Agent gave us the wrong quote for kids (which was one of the deciding factors of choosing this resort).  We've paid our deposit and then they give us the new kid rate (oh - not happy).  Anyway.  Have any of your Travel Agents been able to confirm if the kids stay free promotion will extend to 2013?  It will make a big difference to our guests (and us...).

 

Just one more hiccup in trying to plan a year in advance I guess.

 

Also, for recent/upcoming brides -

If you put your deposit down and then want to change the wedding package, can you do that?

Did anyone do a buffet on the beach?

What we would really like is a simple buffet on the beach with a bonfire - anyone been able to pull that off?

Being so far out we don't have any idea how many people can come (see above).

Hi Withkids, I haven't received any prices for 2013. My Travel Agent said they aren't out yet. My WC (Caroline) hasn't sent me my contract yet for the same reason even after I sent my deposit. I would love 2 be able 2 tell my family an exact price.

Does any one know where someone would be able 2 receive dialysis. I have a family member who would love 2 come, she receives dialysis 3 times a week. Any information would be a great help.

 

Are the honeymoom suits really the best rooms? 

 

I think I will end up with the Himitsu Terrace for the reception. Can anyone give me the pro's and con's of that location.

 

DJ or no DJ? I have no idea what 2 do. I know there's a disco, what do most ppl do?

I did my own save the dates and passports.  They were extremely time consuming but I'll see if I can get an exact price of the cost for you.

Hey Melissa Olivier , we are getting married on the same day !! My wedding is at 4h30 at the gazebo and reception on the bordeaux terrace. Can't wait !!

 

For the people who are getting married in 2013, lucky you if you got a price, I still don't have a price for November 2012 !!! keep telling me they are not out yet :S

 

For the invitations, I did my own. I made boarding passes, veryyyy long to do but loved every moment of it and my guests loved the idea that it was hand made I took Aylee template model.
