Hi Maria,

Marriage licences, we don't need that after marriage, licences usually expired within 3 month. What we need is marriage certificate. I actually just got an e-mail saying Mariana have the certificate but was a bit challenge to replay to her e-mail as they change their e-mail again and every time I reply is always bounced back. Finally I e-mail her at work and requesting to notify when they open and read the email then I got the reply. Finally after almost 5 month the certificate are done. Hope I got it by end of this week as promised.

Just wanted to share since there was some discussion recently on this topic.
Ooops...I meant to say certificate, not license. Mariana has already mailed our marriage certificate to us via UPS. Hope to receive it soon.

Hi NH Brides,

I am getting married at the Palma Real however a bunch of my guests are staying at the NH as are my finance and I a few days before the wedding so that we can spend time at the same hotel as our guests.

We are actually going to have our welcome cocktail reception at the NH but since I am not having my wedding there I don't know any of the locations to have it.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for where we can hold this?

Thanks!!

Hi ladies!!! I am proud to say that I too will be getting married at Edenh, April 2010!! I just went over there to view the resort on May 28th. Its so beautiful and Mariana is definitely a sweetheart. I hired a private wedding planner on the side though because I want certain details with my colors which are pink, purple, and green. Her name is Carlota Sanjey from Santo Domingo and she is soooooo good. She brought decoraters to me to show me samples of different details with my colors. I will keep you guys updated and I will continue to read your updates as well. Congrats to all those beautiful brides who already said their I DOs and good luck to all of us who are on our way!!!

We are considering this resort very seriously and I was wondering if anyone has some pictures they can post of the options for the ceremony locations. Also, wondering if anyone might have the private dinner locations for this resort as well. I am still waiting to hear back from the wc so figured maybe I could get a head start. Thank you for any help you can provide.

PS I have been through this thread but there are just so many posts I can't keep up :)

I would recommend the Tanthra bar. It's an upstairs open-air lounge with beautiful decor. We actually had our cocktail hour there before our dinner reception, and everyone thought it was perfect! bunny_4.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
