My mother loved them and worth every penny. They are 100$

2.I had the beach party booked but they were calling for rain over the next 24hr so didn't want my guests to get soaked, so after diner we headed back to Hemingways for drinks and our first dance, which they let me have there.....beautiful

3.I brought my cake topper, cake knife set, raffia fans(which came in really handy, so hot that day) and champagne flutes. I brought shells to decorate my cake and that's it......you really don't need to stress with anything else, it's not worth packing it all and not using it....I also brought little bubbles for after the ceremony....just gave it that added touch...

Any more questions, I can answer just hollar!!!! I'm putting all my pictures on a stick caus my computer won't read the disc of all my pictures......time for an upgrade I think. I will post pics soon.....

Thanks for letting me know not to bother with the decorations, I haven't bought any and started wondering if that was a bad thing...One less thing to spend on, worry about, and pack!smile159.gif

Exactly! I admire the girls who thought to bring decorations - I just didn't consider it - and it happens to be less work so that's great! lol..

How is married life!?!?

I used the Dominican trio for the ceremony...they were...ok. It was cheap ($100), but, cheap is also just bringing a CD down with some songs on it. One of them played the accordion, which wasn't so tropical sounding, if that makes sense? It kinda overpowered the other instruments. It was one less thing for me to stress about, but, in retrospect I think I would have been fine using a CD.

We used a cd. I put on 3 songs to play while the guests were waiting (should of had more) and a song for my girls to come out to, a song for myself and my dad to walk to, a song for signing the papers, an exit song, a cake cutting song, and a first dance song.

It was really nice. Cheaper then the trio as well. more personal I think. It would have been nice to get the bd back though sad.gif

And don't bother with the cake cutting song. they didn't even play it and we didn't need it.

We did the same... long song for walking down the aisle (Wonder What God Was Thinking) and then signing song (I'm Yours). It worked out perfectly although they played I'm Yours twice so 3 or 4 songs on a cd is even better.

We brought our first dance songs on a cd to the dj too. He also used our iPods for the beach party which was great.

I love your pic Courtney!!! so adorable and beautiful.

We had 4 songs for while the guest were sitting, but I don't think they were played lol.

For the rest of the music for the ceremony I put them on seperated cd's so know one would get confused. Worked out great!

Really Dawn, our dj just used the cd's and not the Ipod, 1 cd didn't get played.. actually he started repeating the 1st cd, so I went told him there was anothers lol. Still a lot of fun, would do it again in a heartbeat.

Anyone planning on going back to the resort?

you all should come back in June for someeeeonee's wedding!!

I am so excited - I hit under the 2 month mark yesterday! and even less until we leave (we leave the 22 and our wedding is on our guests last day - the 28th). So really my countdown goes until the 22nd. Once I'm there I'm happy! I'm nervous about the flight, I went to see this person to give me tips about flying (never been worried before, but really anxious about it this time)

Can anyone tell me their happy flight stories - was it great having everyone with you on the flight? smooth? I'm terrified - but I plan on taking some anti-anxiety meds on the way! lol...or some drinks!

How was check in at the hotel - what time did you all get there? We get to the resort around 9:30-10 at night now so we won't get to see anything until the next day!

So excited for you! I was glad to have the first week with our guests before the wedding. I wasn't nervous at all... it kept seeming like the wedding was next week! It was also great because I did a little welcome book with everyone's picture and this gave them time to meet each other. Everyone would gather at the swim up bar, have dinners together or meet in the lobby so by the time the wedding rolled around, everyone knew each other.

Don't worry about the flight. Everything will work out fine. I would assume you are flying Sunwing. They serve free wine! Have a few glasses, and enjoy the ride! And yes it will be great having people on the flight with you. Don't worry my little friend... all will be wonderful!

Check in went smoothly for us. We arrived around 1:30 or 2:00 in the afternoon. You get in line and fill out a short form with your passport numbers, etc. Doesnt take too long. Plus they were walking around with cocktails so that jump started the vacation anyhow! Since you arrive in the evening, there will be plenty of people hanging around the lobby having drinks and listening to the singers so it will be a party atmosphere for sure.

Nothing to worry about... just exciting things to look forward to!!!

PS that would be awesome to fly back and enjoy someones wedding in June!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
