LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Were not going anywhere I don't think sad.gif Were going to PEI for a long weekend in July for the country concert and I think were going to take our time driving back for a little alone time.

We think were going back to GP next April for our anniversary. But we have to go to Ottawa next summer for a week for a wedding that Mike is best man, so thats going to be expensive, Ottawa isn't cheap to stay in.

Now that I wrote that out, and actually see it, I def don't think we'll be going on a honeymoon!! lol Aww that makes me sad sad.gif

Thanks for all the updates on how your weddings went! Congrats to you all!!! Mine is soooo long away, I just want it to be January now! (Which is weird since I live in Edmonton!)

I have a couple questions if anyone can answer them, hey great and if not that's ok too!

1) For the ceremony did anyone use the Mexican Trio? Or do you just bring your own music to use?

2) We are also thinking of doing the beach party but are debating between the live band or the DJ. Any thoughts either way?

3) I noticed a lot of you brought decorations (which I wasn't thinking of doing). What does Carolina have there? Are the chair sashes included? How are the wedding sites decorated? And the restaurant and beach party?

I am trying to not worry about details but obviously I am failing already. Ahh!!

Hi and Congrats!!! don't worry Jan sadly will be here real soon (not for your wedding but for the horrible weather lol)

1) I did see someone during my stay use the trio, they looked fun, and if you have the budged for it go fo it!!! you probably wouldn't regret it. I did see the guest looking at the trio a lot tho, hope it didn't distract them from the actual wedding tho (I know I was looking from the beach and notice weird things lol) But I also found just bring cd's of the music you want just as good, but I did that so that's jut IMOP!
2)I saw go for the DJ for the beach party, only because this you have a little more control on whats going to be played, if you live varidity, I say go for the cd's. But if you don't care what will be played go for the band. However I didn't see 1 beach party with a band, only DJ.
3)After all the stressing of all the small details, like decor, then got married. I realized I didn't need half of it. Carolina has the sash for the ceremony which is included. I say bring your own cake topper (if you want it to be more personal) I brouht my own centerpiecs, as hers were $60 a piece. But agan a lot of people wont even notice it!!
beach party, you really don't need any decor, it's the beach which is the perfect decor anyone could ask for!!
Happy to answer any questions, I would have loved that for my wedding. so don't be shy lol!!

Hello.....I brought a burned cd with all the music I wanted to use for the ceremony. They played all the music I wanted when I wanted it played. It was beautiful. I hired the trio for after the ceremony and cake cutting was done, because again I had my own music. I had the trio play while we were getting our pictures done. My mother loved them and worth every penny. They are 100$

2.I had the beach party booked but they were calling for rain over the next 24hr so didn't want my guests to get soaked, so after diner we headed back to Hemingways for drinks and our first dance, which they let me have there.....beautiful

3.I brought my cake topper, cake knife set, raffia fans(which came in really handy, so hot that day) and champagne flutes. I brought shells to decorate my cake and that's it......you really don't need to stress with anything else, it's not worth packing it all and not using it....I also brought little bubbles for after the ceremony....just gave it that added touch...

Any more questions, I can answer just hollar!!!! I'm putting all my pictures on a stick caus my computer won't read the disc of all my pictures......time for an upgrade I think. I will post pics soon.....

Danielle, Can't wait to see your pics!!! :) :)

For the ceremony, we got every song we wanted played when we wanted them as well. But at the party we didn't, I think the only one 2 I really missed and notice was the bouquet toss, because I knew the BM were going to seriously fight over it so i picked Kung Fo Fighting (didn't get it) and our last dance of the night we didn't do, or get.. it was actually our song from we first dated. But again these things I wont remember next year, or even next month. Everything was to perfect, just my husband's looks he gave me was worth any mishaps.

Funny cause I was looking for you, and your wedding...didn't think to look at hemmingways sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
