Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Hey JenmHeadrick!  Is there any way you could send your photos to me as well.  That would be super helpful!  I told my fiance about it and he's anxiously awaiting as well.  Also, one of our biggest things we're trying to figure out is if its worth it to book the private room or the semi private area?? Any thoughts future brides? This is legitimately -- killing us!

So I spoke to Carolina and they are going to be charging me the $500. I explained that she is not a local photographer and she pretty much said to bad. I guess I shouldn't have told her that she was the photographer and said one of my wedding guests were. Im sure she wouldnt have noticed the differece :(

are you serious!!? that's terrible! :( there has to be a way to avoid that....either way though....you can still say she is a family friend that happens to be doin your photos and just pay the $60 day pass.....$500 is a RIDICULOUS fee......perhaps if you speak to management...someone of higher authority than Carolina. I thought the $500 fee was ONLY for their local Punta Cana photographers thatswck.gif

does anyone know if, for the PRIVATE reception dinner, they provide table and chair covers? sashes? any decor whatsoever? (i'm pretty sure i'll be goin with the silver symbolic package)....I asked Carolina and she said "standard tables and chairs" used for the restaurant....and I also asked if we can bring our own centerpieces and she said there's an extra charge for that? :S I dont understand.  

So if anyone knows, how much is it for chair and table covers and if we bring our own decor, do they seriously charge you (i guess to set it up)?
also, for the silver package, do we have to pay for a mic and speakers extra or does that come with the package?

Hi! I usually hear back from her within 2 days. One time it took over a week becuase their system was down but I emailed her last week and she got back to me withing 2 days. Sorry to hear that she hasn't gotten back to you :(

Jenn963, I am not sure about the private reception with chair covers and sashes but I would not be suprsed if it is an extra charge.

As for bringing your own centerpieces I was encouraged on this website to bring your own. I am bringing some but having a friend set it out for me rather then Carolina!

I'll let ys know how that goes with that as well as telling them again that my photographer is a friend! Wish me luck! fencing.gif

I was just married at the Palladium last month and I believe you do have to pay extra for chair covers and sashes but they do decorate the tables with candles, tablecloths, and they have little shell centerpeices (they aren't much) I brought my own colored napkins and centerpieces as well as guest favors to be set out at dinner and this wasn't an extra fee. Maybe she thought you were asking about them adding centerpieces? which obviously would be extra but just bring whatever you have with you when you have the meeting with her and let her know what you want set up and she will set it all up for you!     • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well. 
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
    • So we are currently looking for an all inclusive resort for the wedding. We have 60 guests and found all the Dreams resorts as options and all of them gave us a quote and discounted price since it’s off season etc. Resorts in Punta Canta gave us a reasonable price, Dominicus gave us a really good deal then La Romana Resort and Spa gave us their regular price and so hard to negotiate. Will someone tell us how special is this resort that they won’t give us a good discount when all my guests are staying in their resort for 5-8 days. We are bringing $$$ in their resort and not give us a discount?  What is so special with this resort?  Can somebody recommend a beautiful resort?
