Does anyone know if (and how much) you can hire some entertainers for your beach party at the GPPC?? Like dancers or those performers that throw fire around (lol sorry I don't know the proper name) If anyone has done this please let me know.

Carolina did not say one thing about charging $500 to bring in an outside photographer. She told me $60 for daytime and $60 for after 6:00pm. So ours is a total of $120. Would you like me to email you the email she sent me in regards  to brining in Eva Hadhazy Photography?

Hi Jenm,

Have been reading throught some of these posts and was wondering if you could send me detailed or any info you have on the symbolic ceremony? That's what you had right?  We are booked to have our ceremony November 29th 2013

Hi Cabara!! Looks like you're wedding is a day before mine!!! Looks like we'll share in wedding stress, walk down that aisle and push a few drinks back.!! For the folks that have booked, did you book with a travel agent? Did you find it being siginificantly less than doing it yourself? Once I find my dress, and mail these invitations, I can actually start having 100% focus on how the wedding will be planned/arranged/etc. :D

Hey Bride2B1130!

Yeah our symbolic ceremony is reserved for November 29th @ 4 pm.  That's great that I'll have someone else to chat with that's getting married that same week/ day after mine! hahah.  When do you fly in, and how long are you staying?  We fly in the 27th and are just staying a week til the 4th.  We went with a travel agent and are flying out with sungwing.  What type of ceremony are you having? Look forward to chatting with you!! Talk soon

Hi Cabara! It definitely makes it easier chatting with folks who are having their weddings during the same time as mine. We're flying in on the 26th. It seems like hubby wants me to get away earlier so I can relax - apparently I'm too stressed! We're leaving on that following Tuesday so we'll be there before the majority of our party gets there. We're having the civil ceremony and are going to get married there so I'll be sure to ask for copies of this dang document. I just hope the judge will be here for this. One of the big things I'm getting more confused about is the fact that someone mentioned a DJ named DJ Mania? While we were doing the agreement form we listed that we wanted a musical trio for the ceremony and then live band/music for 3 hours. I'm trying to figure out A) whether this DJ is still around B) A list of DJs in the area that are good and C) if I need both of these.... Anyways, look forward to chatting and thinking aloud about wedding details!!!

Hey Everyone, So, at the moment we're looking and still figuring out which property we should stay at. We want the property to be all adults but are unsure which to book. Can anyone provide any thoughts/feedback on pros and cons with the Bavaro resort and spa along with the Royal Suites Turquesa? Thanks for any and all feedback!!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding, I was just married at the Grand Palladium Bavaro on March 23rd. Yes, DJ mania is still there. Your musical trio will be 3 men with guitars singing you down the aisle, we brough a cd with the songs we wanted played and it was perfect.

Then DJ Mania is your Dj during your party. He is amazing! We brought down a cd with our first dance and the father daughter dance and he played them. They will give you a sheet when you arrive to be filled out for him and he downloaded the songs we wanted to walk into the reception too. It will also ask you what type of songs you want played as well. They did an amazing job!

Hope this helps!!

The Royal Suites is the only adults only resort for the Grand Palladium Punta Cana

The Bavaro, Punta Cana and Palace section are all family sections. We booked the Bavaro section and would highly recommend it as there are only 4 rooms per building as the punta cana section and the palace section are more like 30 rooms per building. The Bavaro was amazing and we booked so the it was stay at 1 play at 3. We got to go to all the resorts but the Royal Suites. We did take a train through it though and the swim out rooms looked really nice but otherwise it looked pretty much the same as our Bavaro section.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
