    A quick rundown.
My colors are Dark Blue and Bright Pink
I am having dark blue chair ties at the reception table
I am having one long table
    on the table will be;
    tall hurricanes w/ candle
    Picture frame lumineers
small vases of bright pink flowers

What I need but absolutly cant find and Mariana our w/c doesnt have is dark blue table runners, and the more I think about it, even If I could find them the chance of me matching the color of the runner to the chair ties is not good.

So finally my question. What do you think about bamboo table runners? They are pretty cheap and are a nuetral color. Here is a picture of one from orientaltradingcompany.com Try and picture it without the weird yellow table cloth underneath. What do you think? Yes or No?

Ann your nuts, I walk into a fabric store and am automatically confused and out of place. I'm so bad at that stuff lol. But thank you for thinking I would be able to do such a martha stewart sort of thing. hahahahaha

Jackie, I'm sorry but I agree with Ann...you could find a beautiful fabric for the table runners and they are sooo easy to make...you could find a dark blue with a print maybe a pink print...I made mine and it wasn't really hard. I could walk you through it.

As for the bamboo table runners....I think they are nice, but will they fancy enough with the rest of your decor? It's hard for me to picture them.

I initially was going to do something like this but I thought it would be too thick sitting up on the table.

Maybe if you want to do fabric just buy something that will not have to match the exact blue on the ties but will go well with both the blue & pink?

Jessalyn, I absolutly loved your table runners, I have a picture of them saved in my word documents. Your table was gorgeous. Do you really think it would be easy enough? Do I need a sewing machine? That would be really wonderful if you could help. I wouldnt even know how much fabric to buy.

I have never made them, nor am I a Martha Stewart, but I'd totally be willing to try to make them for you! You could send me the fabric or something, and tell methe measurements.

I don't think you would even have to sew them.. they have this fabric glue (think of a dryer sheet) that you put between the layers and iron.. it fuses them together and will probably suffice for such a project..

or if you find the right fabric you wouldn't have to sew anything...if you don't want to make them, tho, what about just a shiny white fabric tablecloth? i actually found fabric at ikea - think shiny tule, but not hole-y....

is there a Jo-Ann's fabric in your area? they have machines and will help you sew your table runner right in the store once you've picked out the fabric and they'll definitely be able to help you decide how much fabric you'll need...it's really REALLY not that hard, especially with their help and you'll be able to keep to your color scheme!

                      i'm a dork, i love Jo-Ann's
