Hello Ladies! I have been recommended this wedding videographer in Riviera Maya and I HAVE to share it with you! His name is Santiago and he owns and runs Becker Wedding Films - http://www.bbweddingfilms.com I also have seen a lot of his work on his Facebook - BB Wedding Films His style is so beautiful and unique, the work he produces is much more than just an ordinary wedding video but more like a peace of art that really shows a couples love story, as you can tell, I am hooked!! It's definitely a great choice for people who are really into art and culture, he seems to capture this in every of his example videos. I have had excellent communication with Santiago these past couple of weeks and I am now in the process of securing my package with him (I am so excited!) His prices are not for budget brides as such but extremely reasonable and for whats included and at such high quality he really is worth every penny! I hope some of you girls get a chance to check him out and fall in love with his work as much as I have! Hanna

After traveling to several countries and numerous resorts and hotels throughout the world, I've come to realize that what sets apart good resorts from excellent ones is customer service and guest experience. And these aspects truly made me appreciate and enjoy my weeklong stay at Azul Beach Hotel in Puerto Morelos, Mexico this past year because the customer service and guest experience here were second to none. From the moment we stepped foot on the resort grounds, we were welcomed by friendly faces who always went out of their way to ensure that all our needs and any special requests were taken care of. Whenever we were in communication with the front desk or concierge, we were always greeted warmly and our questions or requests were quickly addressed. Room service even happily arranged for a glass of milk to be delivered to our room every night for our 2-year-old little girl before she went to bed. And whenever we needed anything in our room, it was delivered promptly. I cannot say enough about the front desk staff and concierge -- they are always willing to help when they can. The Vassa Spa is another area of the resort where customer service really shines, the spa staff is completely focused on giving you a relaxing experience highlighted by top notch service from beginning to end. Scheduling an appointment at the spa is simple and easy and you will feel all your stresses melt away the minute you walk through the spa doors. But the guests experience doesn't just end there -- you are greeted with the same professionalism in all of the hotel's eateries as well. The hostesses are all very warm and welcoming and before you dine, they always ask for any allergies they need to be aware of. And I cannot say enough about the servers in each of the restaurants, all of whom were extremely friendly and attentive. Because our toddler would take naps in the late afternoon after spending hours at the beach or pool, my family and I often dined late for dinner. And while we were often the last guests left in the restaurants, we were never rushed or felt pressured to dine quickly. Our servers encouraged us to enjoy every part of our meal and always suggested dessert or coffee to wrap up our meals no matter how late it was! Having a wonderful dinner experience was always such a nice way to end our day. Another aspect that I really enjoyed at Azul Beach was the staff's focus on ensuring that families with children were well taken care of. Traveling and vacationing with young children can be so intimidating and stressful, but at Azul Beach, they go out of their way to make sure children's needs are met -- be it with an expansive kids menu at all the eateries, the many kids amenities in the rooms (bath robes, slippers, toys, crib, stroller, etc.) and throughout the resort (the kids pool, kids lounge chairs, toys on the beach, the kids club, etc.). The staff is there not only to serve the needs of adults, but that of their youngest guests as well! When you visit Azul Beach Hotel it feels like home. And before your stay even ends, you'll find yourself already looking forward to the next visit! Hello ladies, We picked the NOW Sapphire as our DW and the date is set for May 2nd, 2017. I had some questions for past brides or anyone that could be of help. We are paying for my 2 (soon-to-be) stepchildren (1 of which will be at an adult rate as he's over 12 yrs old). Plus our photographer friend. So paying for 4 adults, 1 child as well as our honeymoon (so already at approx. 15k there)--- so we are trying to save where we can! Where there are 5 children so far coming, (that all love to dance), we decided we should have a "reception" of sorts. We currently are set up for the "Complimentary" (Your Moments) wedding package as we did not need a photographer and all packages would still require us to pay extras. We decided on the gazebo with the Preferred Pool as the "dance" location. We want to have the "dance" so that our photos include our first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, etc. photos... plus the kids would not be allowed at the disco later, AND if we were to opt for the disco instead of a reception, the parents of the other children would have to tend to their kids so I'd be missing 4 wedding party members. I'm terrified of all the extra costs. The cost is adding up and I'm not convinced that a "Package" will even help us out either. We're looking at renting the speakers from the resort (180$ per hour - 3 hours), and cost per additional guest after 10 is 22$ approx. (for the Your moments package) we are currently 30 attendding. Renting the Preferred pool is 1000$ and we are using an off site make up and hair team which wasn't cheap but it was something all of us ladies agreed on. 1-I'm thinking of bringing "fake bouquets" cause they seem pretty costly at the resort. I have 4 bridesmaids, 2 groomsmen and the 2 stepsons. What have some of you done regarding bouquets? 2-In regards to renting the speakers, we have also been in contact with a DJ where the speakers, the DJing would all be included but that would come with a vendor fee on top of their fee so approx 700$ I believe. Do any of you have any tips to share? I hear lots of brides mention a DJ app, how user friendly is this? 3-The lighting or decor... we want it to be very pretty for the photos, do any of you that chose the Preferred pool needed to bring anything additional? Lighting starts at 600$ and bringing your own, you'd still need to pay 100$ per pole to hang them. Any experience advice on that location? 4-During the wedding, do they play music or is that an additional fee? 5-Has the WC given out decor or anything complimentary with this package? i.e. aisle runner or little decorations on cocktail tables, etc or do they nickel & dime you every chance they get? 6-I was thinking of having some sort of video (short one), but not paying an abundant amout, has anyone done this at a reasonable cost? Basically - Have any of you chosen the "your moments" package, and if so, could you share your cost saving ideas? We aren't opposed to paying for some extras but just are looking at cost cutting where we can so that we can permit to spend a bit more on our guest bags and "at home party". I'm extremely excited about our choice and when I see all the photos our WC posts of the weddings, I'm in awe - I guess I picture that each bride must have paid for the packages and had a much larger budget than we do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :-)

The getting ready shot The getting ready shot. This one’s a classic! Get photos of the groom and groomsmen tying their bow ties, buttoning their vests, and donning their suit jackets. Make sure to capture the groom helping the ring bearer with his attire. So precious! The Chair Pose The chair pose. Guys and recliners have a history, right? You can mimic that connection by having the groom sit in a stuffed chair with his guys posed around him. The Superhero shot We love it when the guys in the wedding party wear superhero secrets under their wedding dress code, then pose with a few buttons undone to reveal the superhero symbols underneath. If they’re wearing superhero cufflinks, too…even better! The Groomsmen Pose Have the guys throw some sunglasses on and strike their coolest pose while the groom does the shoulder-brush attitude. The Cowboys The cowboys. Have the wedding party bring a hat. Dress down to the vests and put on your cowboy gear. If there’s a horse available, have the groom saddle up and pose with the groomsmen nearby. You can bring in other props like hay bales and rope, too The Stunt Doubles The stunt doubles. If you have a group of athletic guys in the wedding party, have the groom stand with his hands in his pockets or however he’s comfortable while the groomsmen chose to pose, jump, flip, or otherwise try to harness their inner stunt man. The Party Shot The party shot. A lot of guys enjoy a beer or cocktail, especially at a wedding. Get a photo of a toast with just the guys, or a candid shot of the guys laughing and enjoying a drink together. The Hollywood Stroll The Hollywood stroll. Have the groom take the lead in a casual stroll with his guys. The groom can wear sunglasses to stand out in the crowd and look more “Hollywood.” This is a natural and fun type of photo to capture. The Smoking Pose The smoking lounge. Break out the cigars and pose around a card table while you all enjoy them. The Bro Hugs The bro hugs. Even guys have to have some tender moments on the wedding day. Capture the groom giving his groomsmen bro hugs. These will be among the best shots of the day, we guarantee it! The Selfie Shot The selfie shot. There’s no avoiding cellphones these days. Why not incorporate them into your wedding photos? Have the guys each take a silly selfie and then pose with everyone holding their phone out towards the camera. Source: Perfect Wedding Guide ©DreamArt Photography 2010 - 2016. All Rights Reserved

I've been going back and forth between the wedding coordinator for flowers as well as an outside florists. Everyone has warned me about the high pricing from the resort florist.. and WHOA were they right. My outside vendor fee is low at $150 per vendor and I have already booked the outside florist but I wanted to share with you my experience. I started talking to the outside florist even before I booked the resort since flowers are important to me. He has been very helpful and always responds to his messages. For the resort florist - I have to go through the coordinator so its very difficult to convey my vision and attach photos, etc. It's like we were playing telephone. This is the pricing I received from the outside florist: Tall centerpieces: $175 - tall cylinder clear vase with white roses, white mums Low centerpieces:$85 - Small cylinder with matching arrangement as tall centerpiece Prices from resort florist: Tall: $550 Low:$300 Yes, huge difference in pricing. I showed both florists the photos attached and while I know there are orchids in the arrangement, I mentioned to both of them to take out orchids since I know they are expensive. This was where the outside florist was much easier to go back and forth with. For my bouquet: I am going with white roses and dendrobrium orchids with silver pins in the center Sorry, I posted too soon: For my bouquet: I am going with white roses and dendrobrium orchids with silver pins in the center outside vendor: $165 resort florist: $250 Matching boutonnieres cost $15 So far my total cost for flowers is $1530 and this includes: 4 tall centerpieces at $175 a piece (this includes white wooden boxes for the vase to stand on during the ceremony. We will then move all the flowers to the reception area). 2 low centerpieces at $85 a piece flower petals to cover the aisle at $200 my bouquet at $165 matching boutonniere at $15 2 arrangements on the white curtain for $75 a piece (these will be recycled for the bride and groom table Flower girl and ring bearer flowers: $30 total $100 delivery and setup fee I am utilizing the free bouquet that comes in my package for my bridesmaid and the 2 corsages/2 boutonnieres for the parents. My budget for flowers was $2k so I am currently under budget which I am very happy about after hearing girls spend $5k on flowers. I will have to add or remove things as I find out how many guests are coming but this is what I have so far. I might add another arrangement for the escort card table. How much did you ladies spend on flowers? Or what was your experience like?

I wanted to share with you all how I ended up choosing the resort I am getting married in in Cancun. I found this to be the most difficult and daunting part of planning. You all have been so helpful so I wanted to return the favor for any others looking or getting started. I also have more info on my flowers and budget and I will post that separately so people can get an idea of what things will cost. I was very concerned with pricing and I know asking what you paid for your wedding is a little sensitive but I will start a new thread with my wedding flowers cost. I knew I wanted to get married in Cancun, not Riviera Maya or Playa Mujeras, but downtown Cancun as I have been there many times before and for my group it would be a perfect destination between partying and beach/resort/relaxation. I started out by writing down all the hotels I liked and then I started emailing info. All I got from the coordinators were the pdf files with the packages, but realistically, that was not enough to make a decision. With my personality, I need to know all the ins and outs and what to expect before I choose a resort. I've heard things can add up and there are a lot of hidden fees. I don't mind spending money but I want to know in advance what I'm getting into to avoid any arguments later. I also received lots of recommendations to get a travel agent and they would be able to help me. I did get a travel agent but making the decision on which resort still came down to me knowing all the facts. With the above being said about my personality, a lot of people on this forum as well as the coordinators recommended to choose a hotel based on where I saw myself getting married and which grounds I liked. For me, this wasn't enough. I badgered the coordinators to show me all of their fees, including outside vendor fees, how it works with the extras such as dj, photographer, and decor, as well as extra guests and linens, etc. The hidden fees I found were astonishing, some hotels were charging extra money to walk in sand if you had your reception on the beach or to keep the food warm. Off the bat, I discounted those hotels since those were things I didn't want to deal with. I chose my resort on one thing alone after all my research: Outside vendor fees. I wanted a resort with low outside vendor fees as I didn't want to be bamboozled into paying high resort pricing when I could get the same thing outside for cheaper. The resort I chose is Dreams Sands Cancun and the date is 1/28/17. Dreams Sands outside vendor fees are $150 per a vendor which is very reasonable compared to the others who charge $800 or $1000. I made sure this fee was per vendor and not per person. The resort is not as beautiful as lets say the Hyatt Ziva, but ultimately I would be very agitated had I found out these high fees later on when I started planning. The coordinator at Hyatt Ziva was actually not very helpful when I contacted her and was trying to get me to book the package on the very first day that we spoke on the phone. After receiving a more detailed email from them, I crossed Hyatt Ziva out. Thats it, I based it on one factor. I also made sure this hotel is in a great location right near party city and its affordable for guests and allows kids. So far, planning seems ok. Dreams Sands seems easy to work with but I will definitely fill you in on all that as I get closer. How did you all choose your resort?

After several days of special cultural ceremonies and practices, an Indian destination wedding culminates with a festive Wedding Day and dinner reception. Much like the events leading up to this final day of celebration, the dinner reception is typically a colorful and elegant display of vibrant colors and details. Earlier this year, the Cancun/Riviera Maya based design and decor team at Zuñiga Productions created a stunning dinner reception design in one of the spacious ballrooms at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort -- one of the most popular resorts used to host large scale weddings because of their expansive grounds and the variety of event location offerings. Mehndi and Sangeet Ceremony Decor Inspiration by Grupo Gama
MarieSamSanchezPhoto posted a article in Planning
Unlike traditional wedding celebrations, Indian Weddings often span over the course of several days with a series of special cultural ceremonies and practices. Some of those gatherings include the Mehndi and Sangeet ceremonies, which are typically held a few days before the Wedding Day. A Sangeet ceremony involves a celebration with lots of singing, dancing and music, and traditionally takes place prior to the Mehndi ceremony, which is the ritual of applying henna to the bride in preparation for the wedding. During the Mehndi ceremony, the bride and other female guests have henna or mehndi design patterns applied to their hands and feet. Earlier this year, the design and decor team at Grupo Gama (which is based in Cancun/Riviera Maya, Mexico) created an incredibly bright and beautiful display for these festive ceremonies at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in one of their many outdoor open spaces -- perfect for hosting both large and small wedding celebrations. 1) Why are you worth the amount you charge? There are many reasons we charge the rates we do, some of which are quite obvious: all of our photographers have many years of experience and many, many weddings under their belts, we offer full resolution images with full reproduction rights, we use very expensive equipment, we edit the photos ourselves – each of the photographers edit the photos from the wedding, their own and the second-shooter’s; then there are the “hidden” costs, like having a beautiful lounge in most hotels we work with, having to pay all the additional people involved in the process of organizing photography and cinematography for a wedding – our colleagues at the Call Center, our Wedding Planners that meet the bride and groom in the hotel and help plan and organize the whole experience etc. 2) Do you shoot natural light or artificial light? Or both? All of our photographers in DreamArt, myself included, are comfortable shooting both. We do prefer using natural light whenever possible and as late as possible, but we also always look for opportunities to be creative with off-camera flash, or complement that available light with a little fill from our flashes. We also use flash to create better quality photographs when there is an actual need for the extra light – like during a reception where there isn’t much light or the light is in all different and weird colors. 3) Do you back up your files online just in case of a fire? Do you have backup equipment? We actually have several backup plans in place at all times. First off, we download the photos to the photo lounge in the hotel the same day we take them. Second, we have a NAS in place in our main office, where everything gets copied to, then there is the Online Gallery, where our brides can actually access and download their photos at all times. We also keep our photos for a minimum of eight months, most of the time much longer than that. 4) Will I get a high resolution DVD? We actually give the Full Resolution images (between 20 and 40 megapixels’ resolution), which is perfect for doing both large prints – we regularly print our photos in 18*12 inches – and also larger or smaller things too, like huge canvas prints or just regular 6*8 inch prints. We also give our photos on USB and online. Both versions are the full resolution files. 5) How do you make us feel relaxed for the photographs, especially when posing? Both myself and all of my colleagues have extensive experience working with people, from all walks of life, and we also have photographed quite a few weddings (I photographed over 150 weddings). Also, we all come from different parts of the world, so, if nothing else, our quirky accents will make you laugh. 6) What is your shooting style? Do you focus on storytelling? We pride ourselves in capturing your special day with all the possible details, storytelling being the main focus. It will be a combination of both photojournalism and some posed shots (especially the group shots and some of the bride and groom). We tend to be as unobtrusive as possible so as to be able to capture all those natural, genuine moments that cannot be posed and planned for, nor repeated. We only take center stage when we need to organize a specific shot. 7) Will you help us with the planning of photos and video for the wedding day? Yes. The most important things for us are for the bride and groom to first, have a great time and not worry about anything, and second for their photos to be as beautiful as possible. Since we live here and know what light is better, how long it takes to move from one place to the next inside the hotels, what can end up taking longer than initially thought etc. we do our best to help you plan accordingly, so that you take advantage of the best places with the best possible light and with all the time you have with your photographers and videographers. It happens often for a bide to come to the interview with our Wedding Planners with a specific timeline in mind or even written down, and leave with a very different schedule after that meeting. We try to have the photographer present during that interview, or at least have several questions and ideas written down by our Wedding Planners and communicated to the photographer. 8) What happens if you get sick on my day? We are very lucky in the sense that we always have someone that can take over if needed. The benefit of working with such a talented team for such a long time (there are around 40 photographers in DreamArt, and we have been working together for the past 3 years, or more) is that if you were to have a situation where you really can’t attend a wedding, one of your colleagues could take your place easily. This is something that hardly ever happens, and it has never happened to me personally. 9) What happens if it rains? This is an important question, because most brides would think their photos and video would be ruined if this happens. This is actually not the case. There are some photographs that can only be done on a rainy day, with rain as a backdrop. We always make the best of any situation and rain is just that: a different situation. There is always a Plan B in terms of where your cocktail or reception will take place, in case of bad weather, and we also I have also offered couples an hour of two of extra time on a different day so we can get photos with the beautiful Caribbean Sea in the background, rather than just rain. DreamArt Photography is the leading luxury photography company based in resorts in Mexico and Jamaica. In the past years, DreamArt Photography & Video has become world leader in its category with more than 1,000 weddings, 6,000 lifestyle sessions, and almost 250 events yearly, in both four and five diamond resorts. Hi! I was hoping someone might have advice on pricing negotiations with vendors, Mexico specifically. I have read that many vendors will quote a little higher expecting you to barter. In particular, currently we are trying to book our Audio/visual equipment supplier and lighting. One company provided a fast quote with an invoice attached almost right away. A second vendor made us arrange to speak over the phone, went through their whole catalog and then came up with a price list that in some cases is over double the first vendor (eg. $600 for string lights vs. $1400). I did initially balk at these prices and honestly admitted they were higher than I was hoping to pay but the vendor insisted these were only individual prices and once we pick out a package of items we need (lights, DJ, dancefloor etc) the package price would be lower. Long story short, of course it seems obvious to book with the first vendor, whose prices seemed so transparent and competitive. But now am I expected to barter with them? We are on a tight budget but I am not opposed to paying the original quote, just not sure if in actuality I would be getting ripped off for not asking for a lower price. Help! I hate this kind of stuff

Hello! New to the forum, thought I would see if there is anyone else who is or has had a wedding at Hacienda Tres Rios in Mayan Riviera? Doing a search, the last thread on here is about 2 years old and it seems much has changed there since then. We are booked for November 2017 and I am just a little nervous as I am struggling to find many recent reviews or advice regarding weddings here. Specifically I am curious if anyone has had issues with the fact that they sell timeshares there. Or if anyone had any complaints about the beach/water quality. When we visited, the water was rather murky and unlike your typical Caribbean water. I just hope this won't be a major disappointment to our guests. Any help would be greatly appreciated Erica

Renting a private villa like the incredible Villa Carola by Karisma Resorts for your destination wedding celebration has several perks, but perhaps one of the best aspects of renting a villa for your stay is that you can host private events outside of your wedding -- like a fabulous Welcome Pool Party complete with an abundance of food and drinks for you and your wedding guests to enjoy. Unlike hosting an event on the general resort grounds, a pool party at your private compound allows you a lot more flexibility and freedom to cater your gathering as you please: 1) You can schedule your Welcome Party during any time of the day. There are no strict timelines to abide by and no special section you must have your party at. When it comes to renting the Villa Carola property, you decide when you want to host your event -- just let your private butler know and he/she will take care of things. 2) Your party can last as long as you please. Feeling like partying from the day into the night? No problem, since you're on the private compound, the entire property is yours to use as you please with no time limitations on pool/spa use. 3) You can utilize the services of the private chef, bartender and staff to cater to your guests for the duration of the celebration to help make your gathering as stress-free as possible. Staying at Villa Carola means you have access to your own private staff. You will have the help of your assigned butler who can help plan and organize the party details with you along with taking note of any special requests you may have, a private chef who can create a scrumptious buffet style menu of grilled delights and tasty appetizers and desserts that you and your guests will love, a bartender who can keep the drinks flowing, and servers who will ensure that everyone is provided with the best services possible throughout the party. 4) Your guests can enjoy the beach, the private pool and spa at their leisure. Villa Carola is perfectly located on a beautiful stretch of turquoise waters adjacent to the Azul Beach Hotel. The villa has its own private access to the beach along with private beach beds, and a huge pool and spa that can only be used by those staying at the villa. You will also have access to private outdoor showers and lounge chairs throughout the grounds. 5) Your guests can either dine along the tables near the ocean view or relax in one of the poolside lounge chairs or on a hammock. Although this is a party, your guests can either socialize, stay active or completely unwind. There are several spots to relax on the spacious Villa Carola property. Renting a private villa like Villa Carola is a way for you to enjoy a luxurious vacation experience but also extend the pampering to your guests as they enjoy the atmosphere and perks of villa vacationing during your hosted events! Is anyone planning to get married at Beach Palace or Hyatt Ziva in Cancun Mexico? If so, do you have an idea of room rates for you guests during their stay? We are planning our wedding for November 2017 at either of these locations, but we want it as affordable as possible for our guests. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I'm getting married 1/21/17 at Azul Sensatori- A Karisma resort in Riviera maya Mexico. I have had my heart set on using a Live solo musician for the ceremony and having them play the Love Actually theme song ie. Glasgow Love Theme by Craig Armstrong for the processional. I had booked the violinist but their song lists are terrible and so short. It seems ridiculous to pay a grand for 45 minutes when we have zero control over song choices. My WC is looking to see if they will play it but she seems clueless about it so far. Anyone have any experience with these live musicians or have any advice? Anyone book a live musician and get to choose a song for them to play? That's what I'd love clarification on and I feel like my WC will never know. Thank you so much!

Bridal Beauty Tips to Looking Flawless on Your Wedding Day
MarieSamSanchezPhoto posted a article in Planning
Written by Styling Trio, a premier Hair & Makeup Agency in Cancun, Tulum and Playa del Carmen We've worked closely with many lovely brides over the years and can't help but be constantly amazed by how many we encounter with beautiful skin and/ or luscious , healthy hair. Of course, being in the beauty business, we can’t help ourselves but to ask these gorgeous gals what they do, what's their secret. Many have told us about expensive facials and moisturizers and even some aggressive hair repair treatments. What we also hear about most often these days are the natural, basic, DIY tips to staying beautiful. These are our favorite ones , directly from our beautiful brides to you! Green Tea This one tops the list from personal experience . Green tea regenerates cells so of course it's great for your overall health. You still must watch what you eat but add Green tea to your diet too and boost your metabolism and improve your health. Susan got married in June last year. She started drinking green tea twice a day for 60 days and saw the difference right away . She felt it certainly helped keep her energy level up during the day. Perhaps consider having a cup of green tea to start your wedding day and give yourself a healthy little boost! Yoga Stress can cause breakouts. To avoid this, especially before wedding time, make sure you are at peace . A great way to achieve this state of Zen is through a combination of yoga and meditation. Both are great practices to help keep your nerves and anxiety under control. Lauren was married in January this year and she started breaking out as the wedding day got closer. So she went to a dermatologist in an attempt to get anything she could to stop from breaking out like this before her wedding. However, after talking to her dermatologist, she realized her breakouts were due to stress! Lauren was never a fan of yoga or meditation but it was something that she had to include in her life if she wanted to reduce stress and help control her breakouts. She started a yoga and meditation regimen 90 days before her wedding, practicing each at least 3 times a week and it really helped her. We saw her and we can attest to the fact she looked radiant on her wedding day! Chlorophyll Christina was married on April this year and we noticed her gorgeous skin right away! She told us her secret was a chlorophyll shot every morning . She started it 60 days before the wedding and the first 35 days her skin was already glowing! It makes sense if you think about it because chlorophyll brings oxygen and hydrates your skin. Christina also started drinking plenty of water and juicy fruits like watermelon and grapefruit as a part of this cholorophyll regimen. We think it worked wonders! Coconut Oil Meena was married in December last year and she had damaged hair from years of heat styling and more. So 30 days before the wedding , she heard about the benefits of coconut oil for dammaged hair and started treating her hair with coconut oil for 30 minutes daily. You just put it in and then and then shampoo and condition normally, preferably with cold water. The difference for Meena was huge and by the time her wedding came, her hair was gorgeous and so healthy looking! Honey Casey was married in August of last year and wanted to give a boost to her blonde locks before her wedding day. A couple of months before the big day , she noticed that her maid - of - honor's hair was looking shinier than usual and asked her what her secret was. She told her she started adding a teaspoon of honey to her conditioner every day . By the time the wedding came, Casey had gorgeous glowing locks just as she wanted. Some have had similar effects with the addition of olive oil to their conditioner. Try them both. They have antioxidant qualities that can be nothing but good for you! We love these tips not only because they are natural choices but you can easily include them in your everyday life and get that bridal glow before your big day! How We Met Andrew and I met online early summer of 2014. Our initial conversation started with our likes for rivalry hockey teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins. From there the conversation kept flowing and we went on our first date in early July. We continued to talk and go on dates over the next couple of months until we made our relationship official in August 2014. From there the rest is history ♥ The Proposal Every year we make a trip to Florida and stay in Indian Rocks Beach. This time we traveled with another couple (Ellen and Tyler) at the end of March 2016. Ellen and I being typical girls we wanted 'cute and coupley' sunset photos with the boys. On Sunday, April 3rd we finished dinner and walked down to the beach just in time to get in some good photos of the sun setting. Andrew and I took a few photos standing on the beach with the sun behind us, and then he said 'Let's try one more (pose)'. Then he got down on one knee in the water and I immediately started blushing and crying because I was so shocked/happy/surprised. After Andrew gave his romantic spiel and asked me to marry him, I said of course. Travel Agent/Picking a Resort We knew that we wanted to have a destination wedding right from the get go because we are beach bums and love the sun/water. Neither of us have ever been to Mexico, however it seemed like the perfect place for our wedding! The next thing on the list was to find a travel agent. I had been told to shop around for an agent for pricing and most importantly the person knows what they are doing/is easy to communicate with. We went to a local mall and popped into Flight Centre, they directed us to a nearby mall where their group travel specialist was located. Instantly we clicked and my finance and I knew we would be going with this agent based on her knowledge, experience and how helpful she was. The next step was choosing a resort, we wanted the resort to be affordable, yet still nice. We weren't very flexible with our potential wedding dates because the best man is a teacher and it is the only time he could take time off work to come to the wedding. After looking at quotes and reading (wedding) reviews we were sold on the GRAND SUNSET PRINCESS. On May 5th 2016 we put our deposits in for travel May 17th - May 24th. Our guests had the deposit deadline of July 13th to guarantee the rates given by the TA. ....More to come

Malas Decor: Tradition and Symbolism Beyond Beauty
MarieSamSanchezPhoto posted a article in Planning
Written by LATIN ASIA - Destination Wedding Decor Varmala is a tradition from ancient times where a beautiful garland of flowers (jaimala) symbolizes a proposal of marriage. Malas or hanging garlands have been used as wedding décor in India since ancient times. They have a special meaning depending on if they are Hindu or Buddhist. In Hinduism a mala represents the 108 names that can have the god Vishnu, the creator of the universe and the god of goodness, so, that’s the reason to use them in a Hindu wedding. The tradition of jaimalas is one of the many rituals in an Indian wedding. When the groom puts jaimala to his wife, they are declared husband and wife and all best wishes are in the jaimalas for a long, happy and healthy life together. The bride also puts jaimala to the groom. This exchange represent among other things respect for each other. But garlands of flowers (malas) are not only used in the neck. Today, you can use to beautify anywhere. If you want to make an impact from the first moment, you can use beautiful curtain at the entrance of the hall or to decorate the walls. The jhula, is a very important element in the wedding and if you decorate it with malas will look awesome. The focus of all Hindu wedding is the Mandap , which can be decorated with multiple colors: Some are simpler but equally beautiful designs. Amazing, right? Hi everyone! I am starting to plan our future destination wedding (thinking February 2018). We come from opposite coasts of the states so Cancun seemed like the natural caribbean location (easy to get to for both sides and relatively affordable). Question I have - are there any good starting places/resources/links on info for prices etc? Or anyone have any of their price experiences to share? I really want to get a ballpark on how much this might cost us before planning everything and realizing it's too expensive. I've stayed in ME Cancun and Paradisus Playa Del Carmen before and loved both (modern, nicer, relaxing) so would be interested in something like that (not a huge fan of the old fashioned resorts).
