Well done everyone! I feel like with the new year everyone is doing so good and staying on track with their goals! It's so motivational!

I lost 1.5lbs this week! I was so pumped! I've been doing really good with my diet 90% of the time and sticking to all my workouts! I o my have 27 more days to my workout plan left! I feel like my mind is really in the game with only 5 weeks left till Mexico! It's seriously crunch time. Clean eating and lots of working out!! Let's crush our goals! I want to lose another 5lbs in 5 weeks. Which is very ambitious of me haha

@@ashhtayy thanks! I'm really excited to show the bridesmaids. It's sort of a surprise because I wasn't going to have bridesmaids bouquets. My sister the maid of honor has seen them but the others haven't.

Weekend update:

Got a fair amount done again this weekend from the to do list. I did the majority of my printing projects!

This is our welcome brochure for all of the guests. I only printed one as a test. I am going to print them all closer to when we leave incase the timeline of events changes.

I also designed small postcards to go into their welcome packages:

Each guest will also have a little welcome tag tied into the welcome package. We will also tie little thank you cards where we can write a personalized message to each persons gifts. And then I have loads of these Social media cards to hand out at both the Mexican wedding and our AHR:

Kyle also got his suit fitted today so that's a big stress off our plate! Should be done and ready by end of the week! He also bought his dress shirt at the bay on sale today too! He just needs to go buy new dress shoes I think.

I also dropped my engagement ring off to get rhodium dipped. I'll be without it for like 2-3 weeks it's going to be so awkward.

I also found a cute lace dress for either the bachelorette or my bridal shower. These are the two dresses I have now:

@@TaraMarie33 I'm sorry to hear your experience was so horrible. I'm getting married there in 5 weeks and was wondering a few things?

- who was your wedding coordinator?

- when you say they didn't use the decorations you brought, did you not tell them how you wanted them? Or what went wrong? I'm bringing a fair amount and I'd hate for it to not get used.

- was the ceremony and reception as you expected (minus the dj?)

Again sorry your experience was so upsetting for you. No ones wedding day should be so stressful. Here's hoping they improve on their mistakes in 5 weeks.

@@acw271011 thanks Ann! It's totally understandable! Your own special day is always most important! Thanks! The dress is back getting more alterations. Sucks financially but I know I'll be really happy when i get it back all fitted! I'm glad to hear you were really happy about your decision to do an AHR. It's so much work but I think I'm excited about it now. I wasn't keen on the idea earlier but now it's going to be fun and I can just enjoy it. (Hopefully). What is the site for lulu's? I should check it out! And yes I'm happy with our choice of Lancelotti. After seeing some of @ s photos it made me really happy with our choice. Now that I've seen your video I'm so happy we decided to get one. It's so special! And something we could watch together every year. It would be amazing if we had the video back in time for our AHR, but I doubt it.

When I was in Michaels yesterday they had a clearance sale on bridal goodies! Got us some luggage tags and me a bride shirt both were $2 each! So crazy!!!

Yeah that's what I want to do with the sand but some brides said its illegal to take sand from the beach. I'll have to ask the coordinator if we'll be able to borrow it.

Update:

I did it again! I tackled my to do list like a BOSS yesterday! It was my day off work and I felt so exhausted by the end of the day. I went looking for a white dress and outfit for my bridal shower and bachelorette parties but no luck. I might have some outfits that will work, I'll post pics later.

I found an ampersand wooden block to go with our k & j letters. I'm happy with how it looks:

I found a few crazy deals at Michaels (I forgot to take pics so I'll do that tonight and show you ladies!)

I created what I think is an amazing "tossing" bouquet out of flowers from Michaels. It probably only cost me $20 to put together! I'm happy. It makes me not want to toss it though haha .

I'm actually thinking of buying 3 more of the large teal peony flower and bringing it with me to see if they can add to my bouquet in Mexico for a pop of color!

We also got our new suitcases!!! I found a great deal at HomeSense. Since my parents couldn't come to Canada for Christmas this year they gave us money. We decided to put it towards something useful! Why not suitcases for our wedding and honeymoon!

I also found little boxes to package the fathers cuff links in! Another item off of my to do list!

That guest book is amazing! I've seen it on Pinterest and around this forum a couple times and I think it's such a great idea.

I agree with your coordinator about the weeks activities. We are making it clear to our guests that by no means do they have to hang out with us the whole week. In fact we are asking that the day after our wedding they let us have the day to ourselves. Gives everyone a break from all the group fun.

I love the suspenders look. My fiancé's groomsmen finally convinced Kyle to re-consider this look but when they all tried it on they looked ridiculous. Some of them have really long torsos while others had really short torsos and they are all built a little differently so it didn't work well.

@@vancouverpetunia no worries. I learnt that reading everyone else's to do lists helped me. I typed up our list and put who does what on the fridge. Seems to be working since Kyle has already tackled two items since doing that (provided they were really simple tasks like booking his haircut haha)

Update:

I've managed to tackle quite a lot on my to do list in the past few days. I also have tomorrow off work so I intend to get a lot more done still!

We have sent all of our contracts, guest lists, sitting arrangements, flower choices, music, food, cake, etc off to the resort. They were really good at informing me that I needed to send this info off ASAP because as soon as they receive all this we will be introduced to our wedding coordinator! Yay!

I managed to wrap up all the gifts for bridesmaids, mothers, groomsmen (ties) , and maid of honor. Kyle still had to buy gifts for the groomsmen so that is still to be done.

I booked all of my appointments for my mom and I (eyebrow threading, gel nail manicure, shellac pedicure, wax, sugaring, hair. I'm still trying to decide if I want to add in a massage prior to leaving because I'm booked pretty solid in the two days prior to leaving!

Kyle and I went to Home Depot today and bought a bunch of plastic bins for organizing. We bought a bunch the size of shoe boxes and a couple really large one. My "wedding room" has had a complete makeover! Took me a few hours to organize everything but I'm so glad I did it. I have all the stuff for Mexico in small boxes and anything else that will be used for the reception back home in big boxes! Yay! This is just some of the boxes:

We also bought a big bag of play sand at Home Depot for like $7! We will probably only be using it for the reception back home since sand is so heavy. I might bring enough to fill the tray for the escort cards upon other brides' suggestions. Hopefully it won't be too heavy. Has anyone brought sand in a carry on successfully?

I have tomorrow off work so I plan on tacking a few more items:

White dress for bridal shower

Outfit for bachelorette

Tossing bouquet

Ribbon for cake

Teat photo booth set up

Fingers crossed I'll be successful!

For those who asked about our wooden letters. These will be used at out at home reception. I wish we could bring them but they are possibly too heavy. I may still find a way to sneak them into carry on haha

@@vancouverpetunia thanks Hun! I'm feeling much better. Well done on being so active this week! I wish we could go hiking but it's been so cold here. Yesterday morning was around -35 with windchill.

Took most of this week off from working out but as of yesterday I'm back at it. My program has 4.5 weeks left and we will be on the beach in 6 weeks! So getting sick didn't interrupt my schedule too much!

I'm struggling to get my head in the game when it comes to nutrition though. Christmas break really through me off. I have the day off work tomorrow so I'm going to get groceries and meal prep! Need to get my priorities straight! Like do I want that dress to fit me or not Hahahaha

@ thanks for the tip. I was talking to my sister last night and she agreed that the sweetheart table was the way to go because we don't have very many guests to fill out the space well. I do kind of like that idea of the MOH and BM sitting up at the front too. I'll see how convincing I can be with my FI haha. OMG I'm listening to that Song!! I love it!! That might just be perfect! @wafflwsmom thanks! I'm glad someone thinks I've done lots because it certainly doesn't feel like I have. Especially over the past few months! In glad I got lots done over the summer! Your table/guest arrangement sounds exactly like what I want! I'll have to see if the resort will be willing to let us have smaller tables. I was also torn with bouquet 1 and 2. Most people chose 3 though. I feel like I want a big bouquet haha. But because I'm small a big bouquet might be overkill for me haha. My fiancé and I plan on taking a good stab at our to do lists this weekend since it's freezing here and we won't be leaving the house haha!

Update time! 

I didn't get nearly as much done over the Christmas holidays as I'd hoped to. I pretty much got nothing done in fact. We did get an email from the resort though over the holidays! They sent us a document that has all sorts of things that need to be filled out such as music, food, flowers, etc! Also had to send our guest list with arrivals, departures, and table numbers. 

So that's where I'm stuck! My fiancé wants our wedding party to be up at the front with us as one big long table. I find that it looks god but it's impractical for socializing. Also we have so few guests that I'm pretty sure the resort will tell us we can only have 2 tables then. I ideally want 3-4 tables. Parents table, family table, friends table, and potentially the wedding party table. What are your thoughts/experiences with sweetheart tables vs wedding party table?

Oh wow @@Wafflesmom everything as per usual look amazing! I absolutely love that ring box! It is so dainty and cute! Makes me. Little jealous actually haha. I love what you did with the flower underneath the ring. I actually thing that makes the whole thing!

I love the table numbers! Now you've got me thinking how can I incorporate my pup into our wedding! I bought her and my fiancé's parents dogs little pink and black bow ties for our legal wedding haha but I wish my little furball could be in Mexico with us. Perian did an amazing job as per usual!
