  1. @@deecol don't worry about the number on the scale. Go by photos. A few years ago I did a program where my weight stayed the same for 70 days but I can assure you I looked very different. I went from a size 4 to a size 0 but was the same weight. Don't worry about what others weigh, think about what will make you happy with yourself! Stay positive in the journey!

    Mini update:

My eating still sucks. I woke up sick on Monday but still worked out even though it was a horrible workout because I felt so out of breath and so weak. Tuesday was even worse. No workout but lots of sleep. Wednesday a bit better but still no workout. Today I'm back at work and planning on getting back to my working out! I also need to really focus on my eating now for the next 47 days!!!! I'm going to follow the 21 day fix eating program with very minimal cheats in there. Of course my bachelorette and bridal shower will have to be exceptions. Next week I'm going to do a 3 day fix to get my self back on track with super clean eating!

I love the marquee letters. I wish we had more room in our suitcases for these! They are so cute. We found really neat wooden letters at home sense be will us them for our AHR but your letters will look so amazing with a beach setting! Yay! Things are coming together for you! So happy! 3. @vancouverpetjnia! Good for you for losing weight over the holidays. That's not easy! You are surely rocking this wedding weight loss!

I wouldn't worry @@deecol about the weight gain. I usually find Xmas weight comes off faster than other weight if you attack it right away! Sounds like you've got a great plan to tackle the weight loss anyways! You will do great!

    My update:

I thought I was going to rock my Xmas break with great clean eating and daily workouts. Not so much the case. I worked out and ate clean right till Xmas eve. Then all the wine and food hit! I took a break then worked out again on the 28th and felt good about that. Then we went on a snowboarding trip which involved too much food and alcohol. I won't even mention New Year's Eve and the alcohol and food....I've been back at my workouts since the 2nd, doing double workouts to get back caught up in my 60 day program. I have 37 more days left of it! And only 50 days till the wedding (47 till we fly). I am determined to stick to my workouts and eat clean....except I woke up with a cold today and think I might cheat tonight and make chicken noodle soup!

Keep up the amazing work and all the motivation girls! You are rocking it! ????

  6. I forgot to post a few updates!

We booked our legal wedding ceremony! Call me crazy but we are getting married the evening before we fly to Mexico. Our ceremony will be at 5pm on February 19th. We had to have an evening ceremony because my sister is a teacher and I wanted her there as a witness. We are planning on going out for a dinner with both parents after the ceremony but I'm so worried that we won't have enough time to finish packing or I'll be up till 4am making sure we have everything. But it will be nice because Kyles grandma can't come to Mexico so we wanted her to be apart of our wedding. She didn't quite understand why we were having 2 weddings but we did our best to explain it to her haha.

I bought the mothers gifts. I bought two bracelets from Stella and dot since I know they both like S&D

    post-283167-145088454932_thumb.jpg

I also got my sister a maid of honor gift. I got her a Stella and dot pavé wishing bracelet. I also have a small gold elephant bracelet that I may give her too since she loves elephants. post-283167-145088460794_thumb.jpg

We finally agreed on some fathers gifts. When we were in tip top tailors on Black Friday getting kyles ties we found cuff links for the dads. My dad is big into motorcycles and kyles dad loves golf so we got them each some fun cuff links (these aren't the exact ones, I couldn't find a picture online but these are almost identical): post-283167-145088469505_thumb.jpgpost-283167-145088470142_thumb.jpg

We also got Kyle some cuff links but I'll have to take a picture of them at home.

@calgarybride2016 do you remember how far out from your wedding you started communicating with the wedding coordinator. We are exactly 2 months out today and I haven't talked to one, so I'm wondering if that will happen maybe in January?

Oh my gosh! I really have been MIA lately! I forgot so many things to tell you ladies! We have also passed out final payment date. Our guests had to be paid in full by December 1st. We were getting so worried with the TA said on Dec 1 she was still waiting for a few people but I put out a reminder and they all paid thankfully. We did lose one guest unfortunately :( we were sad that our good friend wouldn't be able to make it because of starting a new job that same month but we completely understood. It was a shame because one of our groomsmen was rooming with him and so the cost of his trip went up about $200.

We ended up getting credit back for 1 flight from Transat. We decided we would split that money amongst our wedding party. So it worked out to $300/ person. And our one groomsmen is getting $480 to cover the cost of his trip going up. We felt bad so we wanted to cover his extra fees.

But at least everyone is now confirmed and that means we are still eligible for our free wedding, but only JUST eligible haha. Hopefully nothing else changes now!

Girlie movies, cocktails, mani-pedis, and we hired a makeup artist to come in and teach us how to do the perfect smoky eye make up! So exciting! I think it will be really fun. @@TinkerSofi thanks! I'm so happy with my dress. I went in on Monday for a consult on the top of the dress. It's going to cost me another $415+get to fix the issues with the top. The seamstress told me it's too big for me. Which is exactly what I thought. She pinned everything for me and is going to seeing some bra cups, and I had to move around like that and the dress for my body so much better. I actually like my size now. Before I felt larger than i was because of all the empty space up top. 9. Ok update time (I know I've been MIA again, this new job is kicking my butt!)

We are finally into the double digit countdown! I took a picture when my countdown was at 99 days but forgot to post because we are actually at 94 days now! I'm so excited yet so nervous! It's coming so fast!

    Countdown

I got my cake topper a few weeks ago and its so sparkly its a little hard to read so hopefully it will work in mexico. Cake toppers were so expensive so I opted out of going for the starfish mr & mrs one I originally wanted. But this one still had a nautical theme so I think its pretty cute!

I also finally got my wedding jewelry!! Its so sparkly its not even funny! I LOVE it! It has a string of pearls ending with a crystal down the back which I think will be gorgeous with my dress. I got earrings, necklace, and bracelet all for just under $100, so I think thats a pretty good deal!

Today was super productive as well!!! We planned to get our groomsmen's suits and we got them! Yay! I forgot to take a picture though.. of course

    ________________________________________________

Ok so that ^ above was clearly old… We are now down to 64 days :S I started to write that post and then life got hectic once again.

So as I was saying we had a super productive day where we bought our groomsmen dress pants and vests. They look super sharp. We tried on multiple different pants and vests. I really wanted a vest that had a pocket on the chest for the pocket squares I bought for the groomsmen but these were such a good price that we just couldn’t resists. Pants plus vests came to about $90 each! We stopped into the store the weekend before black Friday and the store manager was helping us and told us he would give us the Black Friday deal a week early! It was so nice of him! We told our groomsmen that they needed to buy a dress shirt themselves and pay for any alterations since we wanted to pay for their suits as a gift.

    Groomsmen pants

    Groomsmen vests

Once we were finished with the groomsmen Kyle and I decided to go back into the store and look at a suit he was eyeing up. We hadn’t intended on getting his suit for a few more weeks but since it was a good deal again we went for it. A little background behind the suit. Kyle is trying to gain weight and put on muscle right now. He has actually gained 13lbs  now so he’s really pumped on that (normally he struggles to put weight on). So the manager at the store (Tip Top Tailors), told us that if he gains enough weight that the pants or jacket or vest are too large for him that if we keep the tags on he will just swap them for the correct size when we bring them in to get tailored at the end of January. So for those couples who the groom is looking to gain or lose weight this is an awesome option! We are so happy with that outcome. We also found Kyle a nice black tie with a hint of teal in it in the black Friday sales the following week. We are so happy things have come together.

    Kyle suit

    Kyle suit & vest

We still have lots we need to complete though. I am going in for a dress fitting again tomorrow (Monday the 21st). I’m just unhappy about the chest (or my lack there of). I want to bring it in and see if the seamstress can do anything about. Not sure if she can take it in or add “chicken cutlets”.

Kyle and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary up in the mountains back in November and that was so nice to get away from all the stress of work, planning the wedding, working out, etc. We had a wonderful weekend that got us really excited to get married!

I’ve been really good about my working out lately. I’m 11 days into my brand new program called The Masters Hammer & Chisel! Its a weight lifting/ body weight cardio styled workout program that is 60 days. I’m cutting it pretty close with the wedding being only 64 days away and 49 days left to go. That means I have to be diligent over the xmas break!

I have a lot planned on my wedding to do list for the xmas break. Since my family won’t be coming to visit me this year I should hopefully have more time to get things done. My list:

    • Find/buy/make wedding vow books
    • Dress alterations
    • Figure out a sound system for our at home reception
    • Finish buying decorations for our at home reception (IKEA)
    • Organize all wedding decor to make sure we have enough
    • Start communication with the resort
    • Pick excursions for the trip
    • Sort something old/ new/ borrowed/ blue
    • Test photo booth tech
    • Book honeymoon (Hawaii)
    • Book my future appointments (mani/pedi, eyebrows, wax, massages, ect.)
    • Make another 6 twine wrapped wine bottles

I will report back post xmas with how much I actually accomplished over the holidays haha. Might not be as much as I had hoped.

Have an amazing christmas ladies and gents. I hope santa is good to you and your families! xoxo  :)

  10. Today was weigh in for me! I was excited and nervous. I know when you start a new workout program your muscles get sore and your body retains more water to speed recovery. And I've been really sore with my new program so I was hesitant yet I knew I'd been pretty good with my nutrition. I'm happy to report I lost 1.7lbs!!! Super happy! That puts my total at 7.3 since August. I'm starting to feel like I'm in the groove again, although that means my wedding planning has gone out the window. I will post an update to my thread this weekend though! I need to get back on track! 2 months to go!

Ok time for my update. I'm sorry I've been so MIA for like EVER! I feel like between this new job and working out I've had no time for wedding stuff or even just jumping on here to stay accountable. So last Friday I weighed in like normal and was so upset to find I'd gained 1.1lbs :( but then I stepped on the scale on Saturday and then I lost 2.2lbs (from my previous days' gain). It just goes to show you how much your weight can fluctuate day to day. But my Saving grace from not quitting all together was Thursday night I took an update picture and I'm really noticing a difference in my muscles so that makes me happy. I think I've lost 6.5lbs?! Total since August. This week hasn't been great with my nutrition though. I spent the day at my grandmas yesterday and I don't think she knows how to cook healthy or how to not shove food down your throat haha. I love her to bits but my scale won't tomorrow when I weigh in. I've been pretty good with my workouts. I've re-discovered my love for weight lifting and it's awesome. But I've replaced my cardio with al weight lifting. I used to love cardio now I hate it haha.
