bahaha I love the "that is whack" guy! yeah.. the people below us suck.. we had my FI over for the weekend and being 2 and a half he loves to play the game of running and jumping into your ams, so we stood at one side of the hall and Liam started at the other and ran and jumped.. it was 7 at night, we were letting him get some energy out before bed at 7:45 and they banged on the ceiling with a broom.. stupid people. So maybe I will do it to piss them off! I wanna learn to rollerblade! I feel like it wouldn't be too difficult, but I'm afraid of falling lol.. I'm such a baby. OH MAN! dress shopping. Awesome! yeah I like the idea of a magnet because people can just stick them on the fridge without having to find a magnet to hold it lol They have sooo many designs! and you also have the option to design your own however you want! Totally worth it.. I even called last night at 9pm because I couldn't find the dimensions anywhere and someone actually answered the phone! lol..I'm pretty sure they are Canadian based. I thought for sure it would be too late but she was super helpful!

haha I'm glad. Well all I can do is hope that maybe she can find better prices, but there are so many beautiful places we were thinking about. And my biggest concern is not making it a burden on my parents who aren't really in the position to spend a lot of money. I'm sure it will be beautiful wherever we go

Yeah the magnet itself is the save the date. I did it through vistaprint! one half is a picture of us and the other side there is a starfish near the top, and the writing "Save the Date" big. And then under that our names and the date (January 2015) and destination (somewhere sunny and warm) and at the very bottom I put *formal invititation to follow* they turned out really really nice! Once I get them, which will hopefully be next week, I will try to take a picture and post it! The lame part is the quantities go up in twns until 50 and then it jumps to 100. We only really need like 60, but when you factor in shipping for doing two orders, it was cheaper to just get 100... lol it will be $90 plus $20 for 3 day express shipping.

Thanks so much for the review! We are now looking more closely at this resort for our wedding. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of extra costs when it came to decorations, reception and dinner? Their website really only has the basic wedding package information with no details about what can be added

oh man. exhausted. I have had no time to exercise.. I'm hoping that my portion control is helping while I am not getting a lot of exercise. Both of my ultimate games were cancelled this week due to the fields being too waterlogged. This summer is shaping up to be rain filled and lame. I'm still waiting to get the Insanity workout from a co-worker but I am unsure as to how well it will go, seeing that I live on the third floor of an apartment building and when I do jumping jacks, I feel like a herd of elephants lol. How is everyone else doing?

My FI and I went to Michael's last night and got the supplies to make the STD holder (it's going to be a magnet, so it's kind of going to be folded like a portfolio with our contact information on one side, and the other side will have a little spot for the magnet itself I think we will be ordering the magnets this weekend and get 3-day delivery! I made one holder last night once I found the dimensions of the magnet, but want to make sure they actually fit before going crazy with the crafting. I'm excited

lol yeah... I just don't know how some of family members would react if they knew. Good to know that it is possible GAH! We went to see a travel agent last night. She had emailed the groups department about the MC for January 2015 for potential prices... waaaaaaay more than I was expecting.. it wasn't including the early booking bonus because it was still too early for that, but even with the possible 300-350 discount... AH. She is going to look into the prices for December 2014 and see if they are much different.. but I am now really worried that this place is out of the price range we were comfortable with our guests spending mega boo.

I think you can do it! but it all depends on the reasons you need 150. If it is going to take a while for your order to come in of whatever you need, then it may be unrealistic. I still have a ways to go for my wedding, but I'm kind of crazy when it comes to having everything organized and figured out well in advance. I see your wedding is soon! That is exciting!! what kind of things do you still have to do?

lol it's boring as hell! I actually went to school last year to become a teacher.. but finding a job here in Ottawa is stupid difficult, so this is my "while I wait for a real job" job haha! in a few weekd, you can just sit at your computer aaaaaallll day and post away

I went back and read, you are doing a city hall marriage at home first? I was contemplating doing that but I am nervous a lot of my family will realize that it isn't a real ceremony and will be upset that they went there for a wedding and we were technically already married... was your WC helpful when it came to making your symbolic ceremony mimic a real one closely enough so that your guests really wouldn't know?

lol I hear ya! It's so new and exciting! and there are really so many things to figure out! I feel with the destination wedding, I'm figuring out the small details (decorations, reception ideas and so on) before the really big one of when and where we are going based on price. I feel it should be the other way around haha. I think we are just going to decide on the MC and January and hope that the prices don't become ridiculous.. when I looked online for January 2014, they were around what we wanted our guests to spend... here's to hoping they don't go up! For your STDs did you put the exact date for your wedding without being about to actually book that specific day with the resort? I'm planning on sending them out next month to give our guests enough heads up to save... but I can't book until January 2014.. should I put our desired date and hope we can get something on that date or can I generalize and put simply "January 2015"?

No, unfortunately it is still too early to get set in stone prices for really anything... I emaled the Majestic Colonial and they told me to email back at the beginning of 2014 because they will have the prices for 2015 then. For flights we are going to see a travel agent soon, but realistically prices don't usually come out until 11 months before the fly date. So much waiting! lol I just want everything to be organized!

all this talk about travelling! I'm jealous. My FI wants to do Vegas for his Bachelor Party.. I want to go so bad! haha but we def can't afford for both of us to go before the wedding. His best man and him have been talking about Vegas since his best man got married like 7 years ago, so I can't take that away from him lol. I've barely been anywhere.. Pensacola (Marine base), Cuba, and Orlando... I've lived in Ontario my whole life and have not been anywhere else in Canada.. embarassing I know.. My dream is to do a road trip from the east to west coast.. but like you guys have, cost of living and debts these days have made luxuries like that not really possible. I even feel guilty spending the money we intend to on our wedding rather than putting it towards a house or debts.. blah!

I can send you the link if you want to send me an email ([email protected]) it took me a few minutes to figure out how to actually put things on it, but now things are going well I've cerated my STD on Vistaprint and we are doing pictures this weekend and then I will be able to order them For the location I'm just putting "somewhere sunny and warm" and the Date as "January 2015" at least this will give people a heads up that it is destination and the time of year... since we won't know specifics until later on. But if anyone asks, we will be telling them our desired dates of travel and see what happens. Yeah I can see how that time of year could get expensive! I find there are so many little questions I have.. this forum is so much better than emailing the WC every day lol. would anyone possibly have a sample menu to choose our set menu from if we decide to have a non-private dinner at one of the a-la-cartes? My fiance and his dad are SUPER picky and we want to make sure there will be enough choice that everyone will be able to have something they like.

We chose the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana We aren't able to get real prices until February 2014 but going off of prices for this year, it is within what we want our guests to spend. We are also going to get prices for Melias las Dunas in Cuba as a back up if for some reason prices for the MC go up Good job on the running! I still can't motivate myself to run outside after work because I usually get home around 10pm.. but I did have Ultimate last night and the team we played was pretty hardcore so it was a solid 2 hours of running back and forth on a field. I'm feeling it today for sure!

I'm still here too! My FI and I have picked a resort for sure so I've been busy looking at all their options I'm kind of a nut when it comes to having things organized well in advance. A lady in my office keeps baking treats and bringing them in for everyone... I've strategically made sure they are behind me so I don't see them.. but they are soooo good. Trying to up my cardio like you girls suggested as well as more reps with the mat workouts I do.. Slowly but surely I will get to where I want! I still have a long time before my wedding... so good or bad things could happen lol.

My wedding isn't until January 2015, but it's hard to find up to date threads on the Majestic Colonial. My fiance and I have already fallen in love with this resort and have decided on it for our wedding I know that I am planning so far in advance, but I love things to be organized lol. I am excited to hear the feedback from the ladies who have been recently and see pictures! I'm concerned about all the extra costs for all the little things... Is anyone bringing their own decorations? Some of their fees are ridiculous when it comes to using their centrepieces and other decorations but I love the resort so much, I think we will try to bring as much as we can and also not decorate a whole lot on top of what is included. ALSO: I read somewhere that the free wedding package is not available when your 15 rooms are booked at group rate? has anyone else heard of this? I read it on another thread somewhere but the question was never answered...

I was thinking of making my own bags as well! I'm not sure if I have the time though and how they will turn out lol MRSPWILSON: I read somewhere that those bags seemed to leak colour when wet stuff (beach towels etc) were put in them and also when washed.. did you have this problem? It's such a great find and wouldn't be a huge deal if they weren't used for long because the cost but I would hate for the colouring to ruin someone's things.. any advice would be great!
