  1. do you guys know if i would be allowed to bring preserved flowers with me to Jamaica?
  2. there is a vista print offer on groupon. http://www.groupon.com/deals/vista-print-42-chicago
  3. I just had a mini melt down. My mother in law made a big deal to my fiance about how her mother had to be present at the wedding, which means that its a cost my fiance and I have to bear. I just looked up the flights from Dominican Republic to Jamaica and they are almost $1,000 !!! I almost fainted. We have to budget $1500 for the grandmother
  4. Beautiful! I love them.. I didn't think of doing them in Spanish :-/ oh well. guess my family members will finally get to use the dusted Ingles Sin Barrerras they got hidden somewhere
  5. I feel like I am behind too! I haven't started looking for a dress yet. I got the invitations made and I am hoping to mail them out sometime within the next 2 or 3 weeks. We have our venue picked out, the room block is held for our guest but that's about it. I still have to put a down payment for the photographer, look for a dress, think about decorations.... welcome gifts.... ahh soo much work ahead
  6. lol I do! I have everything working against me. My sister is my MOH and shes 17... (no party, no drinking, no money) and it's a destination wedding so I rather people save their money and be able to make it to the wedding. It's a lost cause! lol
  7. I was wondering who to tip and by how much. Well thanks so much for the help!
  8. I want some time to plan things for the wedding too. My wedding day is June 28th and I said to RSVP by January 31st. This gives me about 4 or 5 months so I can get things together and done for my guests and it also guarantees that everyone gets a room at the resort.
  9. I am trying to keep it as small as possible. I am inviting the cousins and uncles I grew up with plus one uncle that lives in Colombia because he has been good to us and I know that he can afford to come to the wedding. I am not inviting many friends but I have been saying since day one that it was a family event and as small as possible so hopefully they dont get offended by it but that is just the way it is. My fiance in the other hand says that if he invites one uncle how can he not invite the other etc. And since I don't know much of his family, I don't even know how many people to actually expect. We made the guest list and he said he needed 45 invitations but that doesn't give me much information sine one person could have a huge family. My father in law has a party of 5 coming already! (4 kids, his girlfriend) so I really don't know what is coming my way!
  10. In the beginning we had decided to put my name first but then when I was working on the wording of the invitation I decided to write husband and wife somewhere on the invitation so it made me put his name first and then mine. It really wasn't a big deal to us.
