I can sympathize. My huge hispanic family are taking it as a big family vacation too.

I think I am going to cut back on the budget. It was 10k then we were a bit flexible and said 15k but things came up and I think we need to keep it to 10k max. I think it will work out

Well I spoke to my fiance's friend and he said the wanted to stay for a week but that he wanted to bring a few of his "boys" so he can really take it as a vacation.... :-/ I cannot tell me guests not to stay for a week or what not but that is spring break and I did not sign up for that. The extra people he decides to travel with will NOT be attending my wedding... THERE IS NO WAY. and that's not even the problem, I am pretty sure that my fiance is going to want to go hang out with the "boys" and there goes our honeymoon. I guess that is the bad part about all this. Maybe I should look into switching resorts after the wedding ughhh.

My wedding is June 28,2014 and I already have my rates and rooms on hold.. I think now is the time to get things done.

My fiance was the same way. He was way too relaxed about the whole thing while I was stressing and doing everything. We have looked at colors and agreed that teal/aqua would be our color but I really like the orange too so I think I might just go with your colors too.. I am glad he gave a lot of input. I have to drag things out of my fiance or he just says he doesn't care about the details. I just think he doesn't want to do any of the work.. smh

Hey I was wondering what you guys did for the transportation between the airport and the resort. I believe the bride and groom are covered by the travel agency and what not but what about the guests? I haven't really thought of that until now. Any suggestions on what I could do for my guests or what I could suggest my guests to do? Thank you!!

I'm so sorry you had a bad day. I feel awful bad for your BM. But your sister really, really that is so messed up! She should have told you before you put your money down for her family who she is now considering not bringing!!! How inconsiderate. I really hope they end up coming so you get your money's worth!!

wow an outside vendor fee of $1000 is crazy!!! is there any chance the photographer can help factor that out because that is crazy!

I finally got our invitations made!! Now I feel like I am getting somewhere. I think that they have a good time to send their RSVP back (it is January 31st). The rooms are reserved until February 14th so hopefully people realize that. I wrote it on the invitation itself but knowing people and how they leave things for last minute, it makes me nervous. I feel like at the end of the day, I am going to be the one making all the reservations for my family anyway. I am not too excited about that and I hope that they at least give me some sort of anticipation. :-/ DW are really a lot of work... to think that I thought it was going to be simple.
