  1. Congratulations! I was going to be a 2015 bride, Feb 26th, 2015 will be our 10yr dating anniversary. I decided to change it to 12-13-14, besides the fact that its a pretty cool date, we vacation in Jamaica every December so it just seemed perfect for us.

  3. Great news!!! I know I was so excited when I received my confirmation:)
  4. It's beautiful! Perfect for a destination wedding. Congrats on finding your dress Quote: Originally Posted by Jenny2014 Unexpectedly bought my dress this weekend No pictures of me in it, but finally found two pictures online of it without big watermarks on it! Mine didn't come with the straps, which is fine. It is beautiful as a strapless-sweetheart neckline. xoxo Jenny
  5. What a great forum! I have a daughter- 18 and my FI has a son-18 and daughter- 16. We met when his kids were 9 & 7 . I'd be lying if I said it has been easy. Even though I have a child we all have different parenting techniques. We persevered through the ups and downs and I already consider them my step kids. This will just be a formality when we say our vows. I have asked my daughter and his daughter to be my bridesmaids. I am thrilled that the kids want to share in our joy!
  6. I have never been to the Riu but I believe there is alot of information on here about it. Ochos Rios is a very nice area though and I'm sure you will be pleased. The best beaches are located in Negil, however I have found that prices are higher as well. I thought about getting married at the Riu Palace in Negril but due to cost for my family I decided against it.
  7. Rashel Edwards does makeup and she has an assistant do hair.
  8. ) You are in for a treat! We go to Jamaica every chance we get!! It is true that it is a poor country but the people are so genuine and kind. As the commercials say, "once you go, you know". We stay in contact with some of the resort staff that we have met and have invited them to our wedding. You will love it for sure!
  9. Did you get your quotes yet? We received ours for Dec 2014 but they seem pretty high. I am wondering if we wait longer then the rates will improve.
  10. Congrats Kelly! Come back and let us know how it went when you return.
  11. Congratulations!! Have you been to Jamaica before? It is beautiful!
  12. Congratulations! You will find a ton of information on here. Happy planning!!
  13. I received a response back from the resort and they informed me that for the Waves of Love package I can choose between Purple, blue, white or green and white. The website only mentioned blue or green and white. This was great news! Now if only I could get my hands on a picture of what the purple bouquet will look like. I also asked about flower petals and an aisle runner and was quoted $60 each. Crazy expensive but I will pay for it anyways. Hope this info helps out some other brides that might have wondered the same thing.
  14. I have Rashel Edwards booked. She will do my makeup and her assistant will do my hair. She has wonderful reviews. You can find her on facebook under Chasity Artistry Rashel Edwards. Good luck, I know that she books up quick.
  15. I used wedding wire and have not had any complaints. There is a budget and checklist but I haven't look around there yet. Here is a link to our website http://www.weddingwire.com/buddyserife
  16. Congratulations! I have found this site so helpful in my planning. I am a way early starter, have to wait until Dec 2014 for the big day..lol. I was planning on getting married at the beach until I saw the gazebo now I just don't know. We will probably decide once we get there.
  17. Hi Everyone ~ I am hoping someone can help me out with this. I would like to go with the Waves of Love package however I would lke my colors to be purple & white instead of blue. The information sheet says that for waves of love the colors are either blue or green. Does anyone know if I can upgrade the flowers to purple? My gut instict tells me that for a price anything is upgradable.. Have any past Grand Palladium brides done this?
