  1. Here's our website: I went with the knot.... www.carlsonhughes.ourwedding.com Hope this helps!
  2. Thank you ladies! Arch713- the design took the most amount of time....I probably spent a couple weeks doing this. I would plug all the information in and then go through several drafts till I loved every detail! The actual assembly from print to sealing the envelopes took to two full days. I did them on my own and probably should have asked for extra help but the days I had off to work on it didn't match up with my go-to girls. I was really happy with the result even with the long computer hours and even happier to check this task off my list! Hope this helps! It was all worth it!
  3. I was having the same problem so I caved and went to a stock photo website called: www.123rf.com I set up a free account with them and purchased $20 worth of credits with them to download any images at the best resolution. They have thousands of photos and illustration type images. I really like the website. It seemed to be the most reasonable in price and the easiest to work with! I was hesitant to spend any kind of money on this but it is absolutely worth it! Hope this helps!
  4. I'm interested in the large white finger starfish......are they 5-6" or more like 7-8"? Could I also see a picture of them when you get a chance? I would also love to see a picture of the shells as well! Thank you!
  5. I just got an update from my travel agent today that so far we have 15 people booked! We are expecting another 10-15 to jump on board. I have heard grief from a few family members and I was annoyed at first and then realized I can't them add stress to an almost seamless planning experience! If they can come great!......if they can't, that ok we will see you at the AHR! We sent out our invites a couple weeks ago.....here's the link if you want to check them out: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/81883/my-diy-passport-invites-with-rsvp-boarding-pass-lost-of-pics
  6. Thank you ladies! Kay6356- I had the same issue and I had to pull out my patience because it gets tedious, but it is worth it and the hardest part is the design.....don't give up! You can do it!
  7. Congrats on getting your dress! Thanks for letting us know about the sign, not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind! You've been so helpful, thank you!
  8. This thread is soooo helpful! I'm so glad that I came across it and I feel really good about the decisions I've made and things I'm going to change! Thank you so much to every bride that's posted! Keep them comin, I want to hear more!
  9. Thanks ladies! They were a lot of work but all worth it! Thanks for the kind words!
  10. Hi Ladies it been awhile since I've posted here but I've been reading how your all making great progress! I finished my invitations a bit ago and want to share them with my fellow May brides! Here's the link: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/81883/my-diy-passport-invites-with-rsvp-boarding-pass-lost-of-pics/10#post_1817073
  11. I'm glad that you had great things to say about the resort! I was wondering about the gabi bridge.....you mentioned that something about it you where going to share later? Did they change something? I'm dying to know I have my ceremony scheduled there! Glad you had a good time and for being such a great help!
  12. I have the additional services document and the ceremony/reception location options! If anyone wants them I am happy to send them over, just PM me your email. We chose to do the chill out chic package to keep things simple. We are expecting close to 30 people and the add on fee for every addition person is $70. We are just adding these costs on to our wedding fund. Hope this info helps....
  13. Haha you are so right! I love this site for ideas and inspiration, but I've added so much more work for my self!
  14. Oh I almost forgot the best part......with all supplies, paper, ink, etc., the cost per invite was approximately $1.80 an invite! Not including postage. Hope this helps if anyone's toying with the idea of DIY invites....go for it!
