  1. Sorry - put this on the wrong thread!!
  2. In case you were not aware of the FB Iberostar bride page, here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/125122217571235/. It has been super helpful so I highly recommend signing up. Just wanted to put it on here because I had a hard time finding the group when I signed up.

  4. YAYYY!! That's awesome!! Have a wonderful wedding!
  5. Hi! I will let you know how it works out. Rashel is super popular on this website and on the Facebook Iberostar pages. If you have an interest in booking her, book her ASAP. About the responsiveness of the resort, be super patient. They have so many brides contacting them on top of their daily weddings and tours.
  6. Happy New Years, Ladies!! 2013 is our year!! Happy weddings!!! So excited!
  7. Good to see you on here, Alicia! Can't wait to hear how your wedding turns out!! And, see pictures!!
  8. I will keep you all updated! Our RSVPs are due February 1st so I am sure I will have a better idea then. That's also the last day to book with our TA. I am just totally lost at what are numbers will be. We sent out 95 invites inviting 180 persons. When I did the calculations before sending out the invites, I was estimating almost 80 persons coming based on positive responses from the save the dates. Now my estimate is down to 55, but only 13 have booked! I am still missing 75 RSVPs that account for 147 persons. And, people I totally thought were coming that kept saying "I can't wait" are now like "we have to see." If they are just now saying "we have to see" then I am thinking they are going to say no because I am pretty sure you would know by now. O man. Wedding planning is stressful. I can't plan decor, reception venue, etc. until I have a better idea of the number!
  9. I was hoping to do a beach reception, but we will have to see if we have the numbers. My people are being SUPER slow with booking. I don't think my mom has even booked her plane ticket. This makes me concerned that my original prediction of 60 guests may not pan out. People that originally were like "we are totally coming" now seem to be backing out. Anyone else having trouble with people booking/not booking?
  10. Thanks ladies! I am so happy that the timeline is so helpful! I refer back to it all the time!
  11. Tammy: Any update on an Iberostar (Jamaica) webinar? Thanks!!

  13. I blocked 30 rooms at $100 each. The deposit goes towards my room once all are booked or I can get the money back. December does seem to get sold out and fast so if I were you I would block at least some rooms and tell people to book early.
  14. Ok, I just need to vent: Two days ago I got together with a good friend of mine who told me that she finally booked her room and then proceeded to tell me (1) her fiance wanted to see if they could get out of coming because of the cost and (2) that she is not able to visit her father in Florida for Xmas because she has to pay for my wedding and that is why she is staying local for the holidays! I just ignored it, but it is still bothering me. If I see her tomorrow I am probably going to say "you know you should go to see your father instead of worrying about paying for my wedding." Golly! How rude, right??
  15. The reception on the beach at IRHS is 60 person minimum based on the last email I got from the WC. With regard to getting ahold of the WC, my TA was awesome about getting us answers right away especially since she is the one that got us set up at IRHS (we got our TA before IRHS). Just keep calling and calling!
  16. I posted my destination wedding timeline on my planning forum: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/77917/courtney-matthews-iberostar-rose-hall-suites-may-4-2013-planning-thread/10#post_1807333. It could help you in figuring out where to start! Hope it helps! Court
  17. My MOH picked out her dress ( see above)!! All my ladies are picking out their own dresses. I just requested a neutral color and short. My MOH's dress is from Mod Cloth.
  18. I LOVE Cabo! I wrote a post on my blog (CourtneyMara.com) about Los Cabos: http://courtneymara.com/2012/01/09/memorial-day-weekend-in-cabo-san-lucas-mexico/. Check it out! It has our itinerary. We LOVED the pirate ship snorkeling cruise. It would only be good though if you don't have the most formal of guests since it is an open bar and super cheesy that it is hilarious and fun!
