So neat!!! Congrats!

I'm going with orange as my main color and throwing some ivory in where I can.

I'm not totally sure what I'm doing for my bouquet yet. I know I want tiger lillies, and was thinking of adding white or ivory (if possible) calla lillies. I was thinking of going with silk flowers but if we end up going to Playa Del Carmen real flowers will be cheaper. The flowers there are super cheap like $20 for a huuuge bouquet, but you have to venture outside the resort or your paying $180 for something like that. I will post a picture when I have more of an idea of what I'm doing!

Our budget at the moment is $5000, and its gonna be a tight sqeeze if we dont end up going over. So far our biggest expense is the cost for both of our trips, everything else I'm doing myself so I cut the majority of the cost right out.

I know! I'm so excited that I'm going to be able to reuse her dresses and that she's okay with it lol. They are the perfect color, and the price is right! =P

I'm in the same boat, silly boys lol. Just a suggestion, what if it were one of your good girlfriends to take the pictures? Thats what I'm thinking about doing since someone I dont know, female or not he will not be impressed. BUT being my MOH (best friend of 10 years) has probably seen me almost naked just as much as him (well not really but you get where I'm coming from) I dont think he'll be as upset about it. PLUS you dont have to take it ALL off....lol no different then being in a bathing suite at the beach as far as I'm concerned.

whoops for some reason my caption didnt stay. Anyways, this is the cake I LOVE. I've already talked to the resort and they said they can make it happen, so hopefully it turns out!! Having that many flowers on it is going to cost me an arm and a leg at the resort so I'm only putting a few edible flowers on it and then will add some real ones from my bouquet. Also instead of the white I'm going to have them use ivory if possible to match my colors.

Oh good. I now have a "title" for her....I wasn't really sure what to call it before lol. Thanks for that!! Yeah I want her in my pictures as well so she will have to be in a dress that will match the wedding somehow. I was thinking of just puting her in the BM's dress only because I'm buying them from a friend that just had a wedding with my colors and all the BM's are selling their $400 dresses for dirt cheap. We will have to see if I will be able to coordinate sizes though... I'm just wondering if that would look weird having someone that looks like a BM sitting in the audience during the ceremony.

I have a similer situation that I posted about on another thread. I wanted to keep my wedding party small and sticking to family so I dont have any hurt feelings. MOH (bff of 10 years) my sister and my brothers girlfriend as BM's. I have a good friend that I would LOVE to have as a BM but it's just not going to work, as it is our wedding parties are going to be uneven (which by the way is driving me nuts, but I will have to deal with it lol). Anyways, I'm going to have her included in everything (shower if I have one, bachelorette, rehearsal dinner, the girls getting ready ect.) but also have her in charge of making sure things run smoothly. I'm most likely going to have her hand out the programs and after the ceremony have her and my BM's take the favors, centerpieces and place cards to the restaurant and keep track of my guestbook (after some photos of course). I'm also having a few games throughout the day/night so I'm keeping her in charge of determining "the winner" and collecting whatever needs to be collected. She's going to be so involved in the actual wedding day and everything leading up to it I'm hopign she doesnt feel like she's beign ripped off by not being a BM. She's been absolutely AMAZING helpign me with anything I've wanted to try out and great with throwing awesome ideas on the table (which makes me feel even worse for not having her in the wedding party). She has a good idea of exactly what I want and can make it happen for me, I know thats what the WC is for but it calms my nerves a bit having someone I'm close with that knows what I want. The only thing I'm wondering now...is should I have her wear something similer to my BM or have her wear the same dress?? Any ideas would be awesome!!

yes. that is something you have to be VERY careful about. When I went to mexico in 2009 my mom was very insistant on having all of our "important" things with us at all times, it was a huge pain in the ass lugging a huge beach bag around 24/7 but I'm glad we did. My stepdad had a few to many ceasers over breakfast and ended going back to the room to lay down (we had conjoining rooms with my parents) and he had someone actually come into their room and when they saw that there was someone in there took off. All the lights and whatnot were off and it looked like noone was there until he sat up and said something thinking it was one of us. So who knows if it was someone that worked at the resort or what but it wasnt any of us. It would be nice to know what their plan was to begin with but that just goes to show yoru belongings are not safe out of your sight, even in your room. I personally wouldnt even trust the "safes" they have in the rooms, for starters they arent bolted down or anything so anyone can just up and walk off with them not only that, im assuming you arent the only person that knows the code or has the key to get in. Something to be very weary about....lol

No I dont know of any websites but I'm sure you can find something on this amazing site. They seem to have everything LOL. I haven't decided yet but I think I'm going to leave her in charge of making sure the little things are done and that things run relatively smoothly (ex. throughout the ceremony/reception/guestbook/little things while we're getting ready and whatnot). Hi ladies just need a bit of advice. Ok so here's my issue...I have a good friend that you can tell really wants to be a bridesmaid but im keeping it to family plus my best friend of 10 years. As it is I have one too many bridesmaids..and its driving me crazy that our wedding party is uneven lol. I want her to somehow be part of the wedding but cant really think of how to include her. I feel almost guilty because so far shes been really involved in the planning and throwing ideas on the table. Any ideas on how I can include her somehow without her being a bridesmaid??

Good question! I was wondering the same thing...last thing I want/need is to get totally screwed because I had something that they don't allow lol
